It looks very possible due to the color of the scalp and then the color of the mole. If it is, do not worry too much as skin cancer is the easiest to treat as well as the most common. Just have it cut off and tested. Most of the time there will be no more occirances/

Now I am not a doctor, but it doesn't look like pictures of cancerous moles that I have seen. The next time you go to the doctor be sure and show it to them. If the mole gets worse in appearance ( purplish, bigger ), I would go to the doctor right away.

It looks like a ringworm. Don't worry... it's not caused by a worm. It's caused by a fungus. It's contagious so I'd avoid touching it to avoid it spreading to other parts of your body.
Go see your doctor so you can be treated with anti-fungal meds... either in cream or pill form and to find out what it is exactly. Pictures don't tell enough and only a doctor can tell you what it is.
hope this helps.

Only a doctor can tell you if a mole looks cancerous. If you have any doubt see your doctor.
