Explain how statistical correlation does not indicate causation, however evidence (and you mislead in your other response, as the trends have not been observed from just our lif-time) from such comparision has been so strong that most mainstream scientists (these are the ethical ones that report facts and intertpret data without bias of personal gain) agree that anthropogenic global warniming and the resultant climate change is indeed fact, much like evolution and atomic theory. As a scientist, you must surely understand that no one explantion can be proven, but there are some damn good ones w/ great predictive value.

The science of everything has always been scrutinized. But I must ask you...are we experiencing extreme weather patterns? We are. Are extreme weather patterns a normal phenomenon? Yes they are. Have humans been around long enoug to experience the severe weather changes that the earth has seen recently? The answer is NO. So, since we have really only influenced anything globally in the last two hundred years or so, and the world weather patterns seem to be accelerating faster, how can you NOT make some correlation.
To not at least examine our activity on earth as somewhat overbearing is to deny reality.

You make a very good point about statistics and causation versus correlation. All the people who insist that global warming is caused by big oil companies should 1. turn off their lights, 2. stop driving their SUV's, and 3. realize that not all scientists agree that global warming is caused by humans. Use the Einstein relationship for the quivalence of voltage and temperature:
V = kT/q, then you know what the change in energy is in units of volts.
