We had a lecture at my college, and the speaker was Irish, and I swear he had the most calming voice I had ever heard. I fell asleep, and I was fairly sad because he was actually talking about stuff I was interested in.

oh i would say no - unless you count my husband calling me at 2 am in the morning to tell me he arrived safely somewhere and me falling asleep on the phone as him having a calming voice *heheehe*

All kidding aside - i wish i knew someone like that cuz now i suffer from insomnia!!

LOL. My pets fall asleep while watching me while I speak. I guess my voice is calming to them.
REALLY. My dog stares at me and begins to fall asleep.

I had a professor whose voice was like that. She was very nice though, so I would try hard to stay awake in her class. Good night!

there are not too many of those left....i have met a couple in fifty years of my life...they seem to have vanished lately
