For several months now most of the time I feel as if I need to urinate way to frequently, often an urgent need, and uaully not able to sqeeze a drop, and when I do its a small amount only to have the need bare minutes later. I've been to doctors and specialist and baffle modern medicine. Do you know of anything I could take, as far as food or drink like cranberry juice that would benifit me.

I am not on any precription or recreational medicines, I had been on vesicare only to find once I stopped that taking it seemed to have been making it worse. I believe caffine irritates it to so I stopped drinking that.

yes ejaculating promptly agrivates it
as far as holding it in what would be the benifit of doing that? I do now have a superhuman ability to wait extended periods without going because of this though.

I have been given antibiotics and they initially helped. I have had this problem for over 6 months and the severity comes and goes. I have had maybe 15-20 symptom free days. The begining of my day is much better than the end. When I first got this it would keep me up all night with the need to go though for hours on end I would ne be able to go. Also I don't know if this means anything but the feeling of needing to go, I seem to only feel it in my penis and not in my body as well, I think when I used to have to go, like in a long car ride I would feel it all the way through, though I may have forgotten what if feels like to not feels this way.

Take cranberry juice... Drink lots of water to help flush the system. Stay away from aspirin, ibuprofen, tylenol if you can... these irritate the bladder. Also, someone told me that his mother would take the pits of cherries, and make a tea out of it... (presumably leave them in hot water). He said that whenever his mother's bladder started acting up she made this and it worked. I also saw something promoted on the TV for bladder control. Maybe that would b e worth a try.. However, it does sound like a urinary tract infection that should be curable by antibiotics. Has this been tried?

Sounds like a urinary tract infection. You could try the cranberry treatment but it sounds like this might be your first uti and you let it go too long. Usually the cranberry treatment works best if it is taken at the first sign of an infection. I think you should go to the doctor and get antibiotics to cure this one. Now, If there is a next time, you'll know what it feels like and you can catch it early. Drink lots of water and lots of cranberry juice.

Cut out caffeine, tea and colas for sure. The tannic acid can irritate the bladder. Also, sometimes intercourse or condoms can do the same. There is an OTC remedy called Azo Standard that may help as well. You can get it at Wal-Mart.

You can purchase Saw Palmetto capsules at Wal-Mart Pharmacy area, or at health food stores. Start taking these at two per day and it might help. It will not hurt and they are not expensive. I take them and every time I quit them the trouble comes back so I keep taking them.
