Wider seats, fewer passenger in the cabin, depending on the airline, seats that lay completely down into a bed, tv's in your own seat, full meals. It really depends on the airline, the aircraft and where you are going. For Domestic US flights, you can find deals sometimes where the cost difference from a coach ticket to the discount First Class ticket isnt much, you just have to know what to look for or ask for at the counter or online.

747 upper deck 1st class on International flights is several thousand to upwards of $10,000 US but you get a lot. Granted, I dont see the value in a $10,000 seat, but the amenitites are great. Check out Singapore Airlines, they have the best 1st class cabin that Ive seen next to Virgin Atlantic.

Domestic US Flights, the 1st class cabin is just like mose people have said, wider seats and more leg room and entertainment in the seats. All beverages including cocktails are free as well as the food, you're served a beverage in the gate before departure and not in a plastic cup. Not a 4 star meal, but its free food that sometimes isnt that bad, not great, but edible. If you can afford it, I always suggest buying first class, or paying for the upgrade at the gate when its available. OH!! and priority boarding, always first on and waiting to deplane isnt nearly as long as if you were in the middle or back of coach.

10 hours relatives? Wow, the position are you flying? i might want to ought to assert firstclass. i bypass to Japan in step with annum from Seattle (and that is a 10 hour flight) and sitting in coach is extremely stressful.. fairly once you're taking a seat next to the guy who keeps farting, yet thinks no human being can listen because of the loud followers and airplane noise.

Not nearly enough to justify the cost difference. Unless it's a really long flight.

Wide leather seats, better quality full meals, drinks, much quieter and definitely more comfortable.
