You're presenting a false dichotomy here if you're equating the doctrine of predestination with "fate". Predestination does allow free will, but defines it as a hapless wandering of the blind that has the same result no matter how you look at it.

This is a question that has bothered me most of my life. If it's all predetermend we'll never really know. But here's what makes me think it's free will, when I feel good, good things happen. One theory I have is that there are infinite possibilities, and all of these possibilities have been played out, you just have to choose which path to take. This means the answer is both.....deep huh?

I believe in both, First fate because of Karma. In your past life you are born into whatever circumstances and may have a karmic debt to pay. Your freewill comes in with what you do to pay off your karma and create new karma good or bad. So it is a mix.

Actually neither in their entirety. fate is mostly chance with a small influence by us and free will is so limited it practically fails to exist at all.

Put me down for "free will". I don't buy "fate" and "predestination".
