So..I get the great idea of letting my little sister cut my hair. It was okay because i'm getting my hair done but me not thinking about it I put it on a pony tail and let her cut the "tail" now it's really uneven and in the center it's about 3" long and really long on the sides! is that still okay to get it layered or do I have to completely cut it all?

lol I took some pictures... I guess it's not that bad if they layer it but it's going to end up really really short.. more than what I was hoping for lol

Yeah, just tell the hair dresser to even the layers up and to try and save as much length as possible without it looking out of proportion. If keeping the length will make it look weird, then I think you should cut the length. You kind of check it your self to see how bad the layering is right now. In sections bring your hair out at a 90 degree angle and see if it blends. Hope you get what I mean. Good luck

It really depends how she cut it. If she cut it so that like all of your hair is uneven or there are a few different sized chunks, you are saved.

Well that depends on your style mostly. This is my tip though:

Go with the layers, and keep the ends uneven, and just have your stylist fix them slightly, so then ... it will take upon the affect of the messy kind of look. A lot of the stars are doing that now days, and I think that you should try it.

Besides.. If you don't like it, your can always just chop it off like you said that you were going to have to do.

Hope it works out!

Well, if you are getting your hair done anyway, I would just see if I can move the appointment closer to today...Ask your stylist how it will look layered--she will tell you if it will work or not.

Okay, if I am going to be totally honest, my mom actually tried to cut my hair once. It ended up the same way--really short in the middle and long on the sides. My stylist wanted to know what had happened to my hair--I couldn't bring myself to tell her! I said it was just a bad haircut...but she ended up doing layers.

dont worry.

i once had my OLDER sister, mind you, cut my hair and it was totally worse. hairs spurting out in every direction, the shortest later as 1 inch, literally, and all uneven.

a good hair stylist can easily fix your hair. yes, a good amount has to be cut off, but not all of it! i'm sure it'll be long enough to gather in a cute ponytail with real layers.

hope i helped!

that is kind of funny because its u and not me...i would do nothing except put on a hat first thing in the morning and then go to a place to get it fixed tell the hairdresser what happened and that u want to keep as much length as possible without looking like a total idiot

Good luck
