nowhere in my bible does it say strap on explosives to my chest and eliminate all those that differ with my opinions.
My beliefs say to love everyone and let live but it is hard to do that when there are people that want to kill me and my family because we are not part of their religion!
I call that madness.

Excuse me Mr. Nicholas, but while you may have a little knowledge of the bible it appears that you haven't read about the fall, in which we learn that no man, woman, or child is innocent. It's in Genesis, first book of the bible.

Also has it occurred to those who keep mentioning the crusades that those who have written your text books are secular humanist, and are trying to brainwash you against Christianity? It appears that they are doing a good job of it. Have you ever looked deeper into the crusades, such as reading books Christians might have written, in order to see why they took place (not that reading educational books apart from school is popular nowadays) . Of course you don't hear of this but have you ever thought that the cities the crusaders were trying to get back were taken from them in the first place? Are you going to condemn every war that was fought in order to regain lost land? Don't get me wrong, there were other reasons besides that I'm sure. I'm not saying everything the crusaders did was right, but wars are a nasty business, show me a war where neither side ever did anything wrong and then maybe I'll listen to you.

I know that wasn't really answering the specific question, but most of these "answers" aren't anyway.

Who said there is a religion that calls for the killing of People. Just because that is what the media says doesn't mean that is the truth. There is so many hidden agendas it is hard to see the truth. Some commit acts of violence and say it is for the sake of their religion when it has nothing to do with what that religion preaches . They don't even represent any of the other believers. There is so much ignorance in this world because people are lazy they wait for a bias news report to tell them what is going on. It is better to look at both pictures to get outside of the box for a change.

The killing of Innocent people can never be justified not only the killings of American but every human beings. Look at how many Iraqis die each day now and they are mostly women and children.
WHY IS ALL THE KILLING FOR?
with all this technology and knowledge humans didn't yet learn how to live in peace. Stop blaming religions for it.

Guess what?? The Muslim religion doesn't say to "strap on explosives to your chest and eliminate all those that differ with your opinions." That is just a few evil, extremists that happen to be Muslim. Terrorists. Not all Muslims are terrorists. Stop being so close-minded and listening to the extereme right. They say these things to brainwash people into agreeing with the war.

your bible also says that God killed all of the COMPLETELY INNOCENT first born sons of Egypt just to prove a point. it says that God destroys entire cities. Are you so naive as to think that there were NO innocent people in these cities? At least there had to be more children for him to murder. How about the great flood? God destroys every single person except two....do you really think your god is a "loving" god?...HA!

You also must not have learned that more people have been murdered in the name of Christianity than any other religion. Ever hear of the crusades? It was decades of slaughter by Christians.

I am not defending the Islamic extremists. They are obviously wrong in their acts. but to say that your bible presents an innocent and just, loving god is just not true. Religious texts are open for interpretation, they chose to interpret theirs in that way, and some Christians go over the top and interpret theirs in negative ways. Did you know that Charles Manson was trying to bring about the end of days?

Arabs and America are equally responsible for what is going on in the Middle East. Israel and Palestine are victims of the Cold War, American foreign policy, terrorism, the actions of Syria and Iran, American military and foreign policy, etc. I feel sorry for both and do not take sides. I realize Israel has enormous security and defense issues thrust upon them unfairly by their Arab neighbours but guided by American policy, it has not worked out well for them. Jimmy Bakker's accusation of 'apartheid' is unfair and mean-spirited. These extremist views encourage polarization and are out-of-touch with the daily reality of their lives in the Middle East. This is not an issue of them being racist, colonialist or warmongerers.

There are peace movements and media criticism in the country. One can appeal to the people by outlining the experience of soldiers on the home front and in the settlements, and talking about what really goes on. We can stop calling them terrorists and realize that their government is a puppet of American policy and this is thrust upon them. We can come up with constructive ways to encourage dissent, democracy, policy reform, peacemaking and non-military alternatives while dealing with their security issues and cracking down on terrorism

The Palestinians are still a landless, poor, homeless people without effective self-rule and are subject to interference from the land theft by the Israeli government in their settlements. The construction of settlements and confiscation of their territory has to stop. The borders must be secured for the benefit of both sides. Palestinians are victims of Hamass in their own way, too. I am not excusing terrorism, but Syria and Iran pump money and Hezbollah encourages their policy. The infighting is a threat to both sides and must be stopped.

This is the religion of warfare and not religion. Where was it learned? From us, North Americans. We are largely responsible for this. We have made a mess out of the Middle East and the blame is forced on Israel and Palestine, instead of us. It is high time to get in some neutral policymakers like Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the U.K. and Germany.

That's not just a religion. That's islam!

Mind you, the muslims think allah is everything, even allowing muhammad to have sex with little girls is fine, killing non-believers gouging out their eyes is fine, lying is encouraged if it protects allah's name. Muhammad can speak for the demon and be forgiven by allah, and the Jews are not forgiven for their alleged corruption.

So much for sanity.
