i'm 25, and i've always been intrigued by a guy that i went to high school with. i haven't actually seen him for nearly 10 years because he graduated and left the school, but we were sort of friends when we were at the same school. i dated a friend of his. i also saw him a couple of years later in a slightly embarassing situation but hopefully he has forgotten about it now.
we both use myspace and are on each other's friends list. should i just bluntly tell him that i've had a crush on him and see what he says? or should i be more subtle about it?
the other option that i have is to go and see his band play a gig in the city he lives in, which is where i'm from (and which isn't that far from me). i've been in touch with a mutual friend who is also in the band with him, and could arrange it that way...
i don't want to miss the chance at dating him because he's really special, and we're both single right now. how should i approach this situation?

Yes I think that you should tell him asap. But dont be like hey I got a mad crush on you and have for years... be more subtle bout it. You never know he could feel the same way! You could really have something with this guy especially if you still feel this way after all these years! You have so much to gain and nothing to lose. Whats the worst that can happen??? He can say no... but you arent really losing much... try it... youll never know til you do!

I say be more subtle. I know many will say go for it, but I think there are some issues involved. If you can, go see him play. Hang out with him for a while-a lot of times you can tell if a guy likes you or not. Give it a try this way, and then if that doesn't take you anywhere and you can not get a read on him, then, perhaps, you should tell him (so that you don't feel like you have missed your chance). Go see his band and if you get invited to something afterwords, like the after party, then go and check out his vibes towards you. If you go and you feel a connection, or even if you just feel a strong attraction to him, then you should ask him to a date. If you are too shy to ask him out then at least flirt with him and let him know that you would like him to ask you out. It can't hurt to try, even after all of these years there could be something there and you never know how it will go. If things don't go as you hope, then at least you tried! Good Luck!

Go check out the band and build his ego up a bit and talk about good times. Then see if he wants to get together for coffee or something sometime and take it from there. Good luck.

I would go watch his band and try to spend a little more time around him (i.e. watching his band). You will be able to find out if there is any interest on his part. If he drops the hint or makes the first move then go for it and spill your guts. Friends First!

I say...go for it! You're obviously stuck on this guy and the only way to get him out of your system is to do it. Tell him how you feel. If it works out, then great! If not, you can move on. At least you wont always keep thinking "what if..." and "If only I had..." for the rest of your life.

yes you should true love only comes a round only once and you will reget it if you pass this chance up, i had a crush on a girl once and i didn,t tell her because i was shy and when i was brave enght to ask she moved and it put o hold in my heart for 2 years, because it took too long for me to speak up. so do it tell him i would.

Go see him play. Then maybe hang out with him afterwords. Then see how that goes. See if he shows interest in you. The go from there.
