Technically yes, but you need to understand what "love" really means.
To love someone means to sacrifice everything for them. This crush of yours, would you be willing to drive out to him in the middle of the night in pouring rain to pick him up after his car broke down? To stay with him when he loses his job, his family, hell even his dog? To die for him? Would you be willing to let him be with another woman if that was what was best for him?
Do not confuse "Love" with "Infatuation". Infatuation is the warm fuzzy feeling you get, and it is really really great, but it isn't love.

I don't believe there is a set age you have to be before you can fall in love, but I think there is a level of maturity you have to reach before you can truly understand what love is. I think it is possible to be in love with someone without them knowing. The best definition of love that I have come across is caring so much about a person that you would do anything within your power to make them happy, even if that happiness is found with someone else.

you have to be old enough to know what love is. it's more than just butterflies in your stomach and being nervous around that person. true love is when someone else's happiness is more important to you than your own. you can be infatuated at a young age and have wonderful memories of first kisses, getting excited because he held your hand, or going on your first date, but when all that passes and the infatuation is over and the butterflies gone, when you're young you usually lose interest in that person and move onto the next. when you're older even when all that "lovey dovey" stuff is gone and the excitement fades, you will still be with that person because you know that's not the reason you are with them. you love them for the person they are and the person they make you, that's true love.

yes, it's possible to fall in love at a young age, but it's mostly just puppy love. From what people tell me that is.
...As for crushing, yes, that's what you call it if the guy doesn't know you or your feelings. Love and obsession, it's quite a thin line.

i had my first love when i was in the 6th grade. he knew it. i was also his first love. but he was 2 yrs older then me. he was not my true love.... just my first love. i didnt end up marrying him... but i did marry the guy i love! you dont usually end up marrying the first love. age dont make a different at all. but make sure its love and not lust. lust is where you just want some one. you think you love them but you dont. and it dont matter if he knows or not..... but it would probably be easier on you if you did tell him!!
good luck!!

Immpossible to be sure on this. Love is a part of all of us, from the moment we are born, we know who our mother's are, and love them.
