You don't have to go to the store to spend $$ to have a great exfoliate.
Mix this and it works "WONDERS"
1 cup white or brown sugar
1-2 cups fav hair conditioner "yes" hair conditioner
When in the shower use your hand or one of the exfoliating gloves and smooth on.Rub on like lotion and rinse off.The sugars will sloth off the dead skin and the conditioner with soften the skin, making your skin more absorbent.
The less dry our skin is the better "any" tan will take.
For knees, elbows, and hands. Mix 1 cup sugar (any course sugar) with 1/2 cup honey and smooth on let sit about 15 minutes and wask off.Again sugar is a exfoliant and honey is a natural healant.
Also for soft hands, feet, elbows, knees : 2 tablespoons vaseline, 1 teaspoon honey. rub on cover and let sit for atleast 1 hr or you can let it sit over night.Wash off and feel the differance.Rub on your fav lation.

My faves that I suggest to clients are:
Vitabath exfoliating sugar scrub - four scents to choose from, smells great, soothing and doesn't sting when used after shaving.
If you dont mind spending the dough, Inara enliven sugar rub is great ($65) makes skin so soft, look great and has a lot of great ingredients

Biore has some great stuff so does l'orel. I'm currently using l'orele and i love it. not too grainy but effective. Biore is great because most of their targets black heads and also they have one that warms on contact. I don't knwo if you need it for your face or your whole body. if it's for whole body, go to the body shop they have the mango one and it smells wonderful also it's made from natural ingredients no animal testing. it may cost more but worth it. Dove has some good ones too for the body and it moisturizes as well.

I prefer a belt sander with a course grit belt. A 4x20 is hard to maneuver on your face but you can touch up the smaller areas with a detail sander.

it doesnt matter really, as long as it does the job. take even brown sugar, honey and a bit of olive oil and scrub all over in the shower.
