I want to make a photo wallpaper for my desktop using my own photos. I tried this once before but it did not fit right and it was just Wrong! lol. I can't recall what I used to make it with but I need a better one this time. Whats a good free program or trick or whatever I can use to make it so that it fits well on my desktop and the pictures look great.
Links for programs if you have any would help.

right click on the pic and choose "save as wallpaper" in the scrollbox. you can change the wallpaper appearance by right clicking on the desktop and choosing "properties"

the easiest way to make the collage is to use MSpaint ,, layout your collage then on the upper left part of the screen,, pick on File, then pick on the 'set as background (tiled) or set as background(centered)',,, another software would be Adobe photoshop, if you are familiar with the program, after you finished your layout or collage,, save your layout as JPEG, on a lower resolution so that your layout will fit your desktop,,, for a bond size of layout that will be used as desktop wallpaper, i recommend you use 72 pixels/inch as your resolution,,

i hope this helps..

remember that wallpaper requires loads of pixels; if you use low resolution shots, just blowing them up results in real fuzzy wallpaper. in the desktop properties (from any blank spot on the desktop & right click), try using the 'center' option....this will keep it downsized somewhat, but if you just have low resolution shots (but absolutly MUST have the one great foto....) also, import and export your digital fotos using "TIFF" format: this will be the highest available pixel count. good luck!
