If Adolf Hitler had never been born, we would be having this same discussion right now, only the name would be changed to whoever the next evil person is. If THAT person hadn't been born, we would be discussing someone else.
If God hadn't allowed any tyrants or mass-murderers to be born (incidentally there are people that have orchestrated much larger slaughters than Hitler) there would probably be people just a bit "better" than us wondering why God allowed you and me to be born.
God gave us free will. All of us abuse this to some extent. Some of us go way down the path of atrocity. God often intervenes to minimize harmful effects of our actions but often He doesn't, or at any rate lets things get really bad, unfathomably bad from our point of view. But he has a plan that we can't usually see at the time, or sometimes even after the fact. But often we can see good coming from evil.
5 Missionaries were killed a few decades ago by the most violent tribe in the Amazon, or even the history as far as we know. The wives were widowed and the children fatherless, caused by the men that the missionaries had love for and came to save. Why did God allow this to happen?
Later, family of some of the missionaries went back and ministered to them, and the tribe of murderers came to Christ.
An american soldier was captured in either WWII by the Japanese or by the Vietnamese in the 60's, I forget which. He endured years of torture and isolation and not knowing if he would ever see his family again. He held firm to his faith throughout this time and even tried to tell his torturers about the Lord. Eventually he was released, and many years later he met with the main Vietnamese who tortured him and found he had become a Christian because of his experience with his American POW.
I don't know what all God's purpose was in allowing the Holocaust, but He had one.

Good question. Perhaps to show the avarice of man and to be on guard against it. Things happen in God's time. Some things can't be explained. However a God consciouness among men is what ultimately did Hitler in.

Nostradamus actually pointed out (he died 1500 years before Hitler) that Hitler would become the second Antichrist (after Napoleon). Thus, the reason Hitler existed is because he was the second of three antichrists. The third is labeled "Mabus" and will signify the end of the world.

God gives us free will. What we do with it is up to us. We all start out with the same capacity for good or evil. Hitler chose to use his power for evil. We can only hope we learned from the Holocaust and will never allow it to happen again.

To fulfill the first half of Ezekiel 37, which pretty clearly is about the Holocaust, and then the creation of the State of Israel which was done in sympathy with what the Jews had endured.

properly going by technique of the hardship-unfastened regulations of christianity specific in case you do not settle for Jesus into your existence you will visit hell. even with the certainty that maximum folk i be attentive to that are christians have self assurance that in case you lead a sturdy existence and cope with people properly you will visit heaven. With the Hitler question if he extremely regretted his strikes and asked God for forgiveness he might visit heaven, besides the undeniable fact that it is not like he exclaimed "expensive God forgive me" and all became forgiven you will possibly desire to fairly extremely experience sorry approximately your strikes, and ask God for forgiveness.

This is one example why there is probably not a God, other than the one created by the Religious Industrial Complex.
