Its very sad. I'm 21 and have one good friend that is a girl, and my fiance, and a few other friends and we hang out together. We have a good time without getting into trouble. We go bowling, skating, or play games, watch movies together, go to bookstores and coffee shops. We have a good time in a very small town. We dont have to get drunk to have fun.
All of my friends and believe that you should wait until you get married to have sex, and none of us smoke or drink. Unfortunatly, there are only a small minority of people like that.
In answer to your question, there still are good young people out there who believe in God and want to live for Him everyday, but sadly, they are outnumbered by those who live for pleasure and dont think of the future. Its very sad, most of the people I have worked with or been aqquainted with only care about having a good time, and dont care about who they are becoming, or what the future holds. This has always been a problem in every generation, but it gets worse and worse every year, because people get used to things that were once considered horrible, and everyone does them.
I think the first biggest reason for the downfall is parents, but the second is the media, and taking God out of schools and everything. I dont understand why kids are allowed to wear gay pride ribbons and use swear words and sexually harass each other, yet they would get in trouble for bringing a Bible to school. Thats really messed up.

If you believe in the power of prayer, then there is power in prayer. However, the main problem is with the media. The more immorality there is in the media, the more people think immorality is key to leading a normal life, and the more immorality exists. You have to change media to change morality. You also need a very clear definition of morality because everyone has a different viewpoint on just what morality is.

I think they are a Godless generation with no morals. Unfortunately, they are also a product of their environment. Discipline starts at home, and I think we are seeing the results of a generation that has had no Biblical foundation, no prayer or Bible study in school...and no decent leadership to learn from.
All the blame can not be thrown on them. So, yes they do need more prayer. AND at the same time their role models need prayer. But we can't just sit on the sidelines and pray for them. We all need to be ACTIVELY involved in their lives, loving them and correcting them where we can. How can they know unless they are shown?
We have gotten into a comfort zone, and have become too passive. The only way to turn lives around and to bring hope to the future is to get our feet wet and allow ourselves to be used in order to initiate a positive change for these young people. Young people CAN learn and most are willing to some extent, it just takes a loving, and dedicated role model to step up and say, "Hey, follow me...let me show you how to make some sense out of your life. Let me show you a better way."
Everyone needs more prayer...

Prayer has nothing to do with morality. Morality is not related to religion in any form. I am not religious, have no affiliation to one, nor do my parents, and yet, I have morals. My other family members have morals as do their children.
Its a matter of being taught by parents. My neighbors ARE religious, go to church every Sunday, have a Jesus hanging on the wall, participate in church sponsored charitable events, and yet:
The kids drive hellaciously fast and get into numerous wrecks, wear SKIMPY clothes and have a ton of boyfriends, they don't wave when you drive by or say hello, they leave trash all around their house, with old cars parked too and fro, burned trash in a burn pile (horrible to the environment)..... and they are not poor. THe kids who turned 16 in the past few years have receieved vehicles like a Lincoln Navigator, Lexus, and a Scion....
So, these "Godly" kids are hardly an example of "God" giving them morals.
To answer your question then, no we don't need more prayer, we need more involved parents who will teach their kids what morals... then again, that implies they have them to teach.
I'd argue that THIS generation is no more immoral than the ones preceeding it, but rather the size of the generations are increasing and so too the shear numbers of immoral ones.
THe only solution to that is for people to figure out how to use birth control!

It is destined. Our generations will continue to become as the society in the days of Moses,,,,, so says the Christian Bible. It is only a sign of the Times. Many hear but few listen. Children only know what they are taught,,,, so what about our Godless generation of adult people with no morals?

Every generation poses that question to its elders.
Young people do have morals. They're just not the stick-up-the-*** ones you're hoping for. Too bad. My generation has been waiting for a long time to get you old fogies out of the way so we can finally set right what you screwed up so badly. Ten years from now, once we get some decent younger people in power, America will be a far better place.
The younger generations, say GenX and later, are embracing science and logic. That behavior is always perceived as threatening to older people.

What do you think of our Godless generation of young people with no morals?
Yet then you go on to say I know that not all young people are without God. I would say that the numbers have stayed the same. It's just that in today's world, more YOUNG people voice there opinion.

This generation is just a rebellious and no more than the last. They just have better publicity, what with the mass media and all that. Things kids do will always outrage the old and then those old will die and the crazy morals of those young'ns will become old fashioned.
But as far as prayer goes, if you feel that is a positive force in your life, go for it. But no one has the right to say that anyone else should pray. It defeats the purpose.

Not well at all, I see your generation all over, poor attitude, poor education...which is the real killer...you get your history from movies like Troy, and other movies that are so inaccurate. Some of you can barely read at all, your mostly whinny, expect to get everything you want without working for it...I can go on and on, but that's how I see it. Greedy, Lazy, use the F word like it was a preposition, selfish, uneducated, and vain and self-centered..and won't take responsibility when you screw up....and let's not forget drugs and liquor.

Parents are not parenting. Young folks are not taught the basic principles of living with other people. Respect for yourself, and for the happiness of people around you is lost. All of these basic rules for social interaction should be taught in the home, by one or more caring individuals. If no one cares to show (Right and Wrong) love, and consideration, as a role model, then the street will.
