It says 'God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made'

I don't believe that any religious group or non-religious group can answer that question since there is no present way to know such an answer. That is why religious beliefs are based on faith, not empirical evidence.

It doesn't say that. It says:
I believe in one God the Father Almighty
Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible:
And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds;
God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God;
begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father,
by Whom all things were made:
Who for us men and for our salvation came down from Heaven,
and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man:
And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried:
And the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures:
And ascended into Heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father:
And he shall come again, with glory, to judge both the quick and the dead:
Whose Kingdom will have no end:
And I believe in the Holy Ghost the Lord, and Giver of Life,
Who proceedeth from the Father and the Son
Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified,
Who spake by the Prophets.
And I believe in One Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church,
I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins.
And I look for the Resurrection of the Dead:
And the Life of the world to come. Amen.

Begotten comes from a word similar to "sired" - procreated by the Father. Not "made" refers to the normal human production process.
This controversy almost tore the church apart in the 4th century. If you wish to learn more, you might want to look up Arian and Athanasius.

Nemesis,

I've watched your answers to questions over time and you sure seem angry at God and at Christians. The devil is too. I always see you writing things to try and dishonor and discredit God and Christians. I want you to know that whoever you are, I've been praying for you that the eyes of your heart will be opened and that you'll see and understand the Glory and Power of Jesus Christ to receive Him into your heart.

To answer your question, the only answer we have is that we know God is infinite from beginning to end. He had no beginning and has no end which is too big for us to grasp. PEACE!!!

"Begotten, not made" refers to Jesus-the-son, not God the Father.

Peace!
I say amen to the answer of that sister who has no name. You are putting words in the creed that are not there.
Better luck next time.
