I hope everyone on earth can care about the same issue like we do, I hate to see people wasting paper and do not recycle. The rainforests of the world are being destroyed by things like logging and mining. Every day a species of animal becomes extinct because rainforests are being cut down. Elephant are dying because they can find no food and no place to live. farmers are burning down the forest to grow crops to provide food to we overpopulated human beings. If we human continue to do harms to the earth without knowing we need to preserve our mother nature, then we won't see any beautiful nature anymore.

you really should investigate this--It is a very interesting and
diabolical phenomena. Get National Geographic last month's issue and it gives a good overview. Google "Brazil Agriculture" OR Amazon deforestation
and you will get some revealing news.
Some of the forest is being leveled by Brazilian land grabbers
just like when our land was first cleared for crops
but vast acres have been bought by American agrigrowers
using Brazilian front men. Supposedly, the government is
trying to slow down the deforestation./...but the truth is they
want the money any way they can get it. Why is this so
important. The Amazon region stabilizes--- the weather
for the entire world. That is a large reason why weather
patterns are changing so drastically, along with the ozone
layer being depleted. If it is not stopped fast, it will go into
a climate change that cannot be reversed.

One of the biggest depletion of the rainforest actually comes from the farmers themselves, and modern agricultural practices. As they are not using sustainable agricultural practices, and thus depleting the soil of its nutrients, their farms soon fail and they move on to what seems to be "greener pastures"....and soon that cleared patch looses its nutrients and they must move on again.
Personally, I have no problem with banning south American fruits and vegetables from our family table...the fruit tastes like utter crap compared to that grown in the U.S.

Why whine about Brazilians cutting their trees for profit ?
All the other countries, including ourselves have cut down their own trees n massive amounts, now we have trees in parks that we pay to see.
We industrial countries took and took and now we tell other countries , don't touch your trees !!!!!
the whining hypocrites R united

who cares ? you ? doubt if you could do anything about millions of people on earth wanting to purchase tree /wood/paper goods.
Where there are masses of consumers making demands there will be those who will profit by being the suppliers.
Do you have wood in your home, do you use paper goods ?
You are part of the problem then , same like me
