My gf allows her controlling parents to run her life. She is nearly thirty years old, and does not have the guts to stand up to her parents and break free from them. I have tried everything, and nothing works. Isnt it sick that a 27 year old woman is living at home with her parents ?

ABSOLUTELY sick!!!!
Find another girlfriend dearie!!
I would have thought you'd realize by now that YOU are not the 'most' important thing in her life, and I doubt if this will ever change.
For a woman who is nearly 30 years old to be living with mommy and daddy, who has a boyfriend but won't 'cut the apron strings',
this should send up 'red flags' 'blue lights' and 'STOP' signals.
Surely you can do better than this.
And in all reality she's pretty much told you (not in words) by her actions, that this is how it's going to be..
I can assure you she'll 'never' have a guy who will tolerate that for long, so what are you waiting for?
Get away, find someone else, and finally be happy..
She lives in her own 'very' UN-realistic world..

She is the equivelent to a "mama's boy". Just a "mama's girl" if you will. There is nothing you can do. She has to choose to cut the strings, but imo that isn't likely. I've seen people like that and to be honest they rarely break away from their parents b/c they are in their comfort zone. My advice is to let her go if she really chooses them over you.

This only means that this women is ultra dependent.....you don't need someone like this in your life. Get a reality check and choose the people that you want to spend you life with accordingly.

Good luck with your endeavors.

Its not sick b...that might be the "decent" type woman that makes good wifey material...take a step back and assess the situation....

IF you are serious about her, she might be a good chick..she aint picking her folks over you, she is just trying to do right...

Realize you have a decent chick, which is damn near impossible to find

She only knows what she has been taught by her parents. They brainwashed her to be this way.

Find a woman who makes you #1.

Wow...she should really move out and get her own life, without her parents controlling it. You should really have a talk with her, she will get mad and all, but you have to do it.

You've tried everything and nothing works. Doesn't that tell you that nothing is ever going to work? Let go.

It is not "sick" but I wonder, do they pay for everything? Does she have to work or can she just do whatever she wants moneywise?

Are you going to support her if she moves out?
