I started dating my b/f in high school. I went to college three hours away from him and I don't get to see him as often as I would like to. But we are still going strong, almost 5 years now. I'm a senior in college now, so it can definitely work if you want it to. And you sound like you want it to. Good luck! :)

Sorry, but long distance relationships have a life of from 18 to 28 months as an average. I only know of one that lasted longer and that one was for a couple who grew up on the same ranch. They were not related but were raised together and there was never anyone else for either one. I had two long range relationships one at 20 and one at 50. The one at fifty was marriage and lasted for one school year cause my stepson was promised he could do his senior year at fathers high school. That one worked but I made 4 trips to Ohio from NM in just over 15 months then my wife moved back to NM with me!

i am sure it has happened before but it is definately the exception, not the rule. not a single high school couple that came into college remained that way. and i know you probably dont want to hear it, but you are still very young and college is a place to meet new people and discover yourself. i can guarantee you that if things dont work out with your boyfriend at any point after your college experience, you will regret it for a long time having not had that opportunity.

Dude, you are too young.
You will be missing out on a lot if you are in a long distance relationship with him while you are in college.
Let his asss go, and if you want to get back with him after college, well maybe, but dont waste the perfect social climate of college pining away for your boyfriend in another state.

If you are willing to put in extra effort it should work out. Good luck with your relationship, and I hope it works out between the two of you!

It is very possible, but you're going to really step back and assess the situation logically. Go for it.
