Any sort of psychological stress can have a physical impact over time. Being watched will not cause you to get sick, but the anxiety and stress that someone might experience as a result could have that effect. Psychological stress causes a lot of physical effects (heart rate, blood pressure, stomach churning, sweatting, etc), and such physiological distractions can leave the door to disease poorly guarded.

Most jobs involve some form of pressure or stress, so it is important to either learn to cope witht he unique pressures of your job, or to find a job that you are more suited to cope with. Life in general is stressful, so work cannot be held liable for the stress it causes under reasonable circumstances. Many production jobs, for example, involve constant supervision. Management positions may be less supervised but the pressure to produce results that might not be achievable can be even more stressful. Science and technical jobs induce pressure to always be right and never make mistakes; doctors and lawyers deal with performance-related stress and psychological stress relating to the very unpleasant human situations they have to deal with.

So it is important to either learn coping mechanisms to reduce stress, or find a job that is easier for you to cope with based on your stregnths.

yes. I would suspect that if you are beign watched constantly then they are looking for you to do something wrong. It places people in a hypervigalant state where they become fearfull of making mistakes and their panic sensors go off in their brain. While no one is going to beat you at your job (I hope) for doing a bad thing, abused women get PTSD from situations at home where they are watched constantly. ever had your pee break timed?
