This guy i went to high school with, i still talk to, every time the giants or the colts lose always gives me a whole bunch of crap because i'm a fan of the Mannings. Thats one of the main reasons why i'm a fan of the teams. I follow both teams and know alot about them.
anyways, why do people those who like something that others don't like?

Sometimes it's all in fun, to get a rise out of others. Other people do it because they think that they are the best and therefore things they like are the best and they use times such as your example to throw it in your face.

People can be so cruel.
I watch it here within the work force. they cheer or go on about some footy team or cricket side.
And if anyone is against them... its world war three..
They got to pick on them and throw slander.
when i was asked.. i just said .. i don't follow that kind of stuff..
They looked at me weird maybe made a few jokes.. but at least I'm out of the front line of attack.
I would call it pig headiness, or even just very competitive behavior. I guess some people have to realize we are not all in a race to have the best team or the first in line.
We are happy enough to live and let live.
