i own a repair shop, and all the newer jeeps are doing really well as far as mileage there about like they have always been fair,,at best but the reliability of them is real good, and the re-sale value is staying up on the newer ones also,,if you take good care of a Cherokee ,it should last an easy 3-400 k miles,,i got some i service that have a lot of miles on them,,but ,all i can tell you is there's a lot of them out there,i own one,,and it seems to be OK at 260 thousand,,i expect it to go at least 300 before i sell it,,you can go drive one,the test drive is free, good luck hope this help,s.

Very good vehicle and you should get between 14 and 18 MPG with it. I have an 01 Cherokee lifted 4 1/2 inches and on 32 inch tires and still get 14mpg
