I am a girl, and many times my friends will complain that guys are too picky or shouldn't date a girl just because of what she looks like. Then they'll turn right around and say they would never date a guy due to his acne or because he is shorter than they are, doesn't have a killer body, or doesn't drive the right car.
If my friends don't want to be judged by their looks, isn't it hypocritical for them to do the same thing?

Your right, its completely hypocritical, and you may want to make them realize that.
Speaking as a guy, I hate it when girls complain about how they can "never seem to find a nice guy" and that they are "all jerks", yet they completely ignore the twenty-something perfect gentlemen who ask them out on a weekly basis.
Kudos to you for realizing this flaw in human nature and for taking a stand against it. (Because its not just the girls who do it, guys are complete hypocrites too!)

yes its hypocritical, but boys do the same thing, its a human reaction, especially the younger the person. As you grow older and wiser and more understanding there is action behind those words.
