If you have been taking proper martial arts lessons you should have learnt that fighting is the last resort. I think you should be respected for that. Plus, I am sure that if your life actually depended on it you would pull out the kung fu moves no worries. Being a man is not being a hot headed wanker.

Dude. First off, There is more to being a man than fighting. Actually fighting has nothing to do with whether you are a man or not. It's more about how you handle the situation. If you're scared of the fight, I promise you, lots of times the other guy is scared too. Always do what you know is right and a man isn't judged by how well he fights but how well he handles situations. When people disrespect you, just keep in mind, that in itself is unmanly. A real man gives the same respect he receives.

depends on the situation. If what you want is to impress a girl, you dont even need to fight, but the opossite, mock at the other guy for being a violent brute, saying something like, what? you seriously wanna fight? (in a funny way) ill tell u what, lets do a push up contest!. You have to ridiculize the other guy. That its called AMOGing. (AMOG= Alpha Male OF the Group) Hes acting violent cause hes used to do that to show hes the macho leader, so you probe you re better than him by ridiculzing him.

If this is just a common fight, just beat the crap out of him. But u can intimidate him first. Forget about fair play, its a fight, use whatever you have to win. (but if you kick him in the nads do it right otherwise he can do the same after)

FYI you don't have to fight to be a man; this isn't prison. And one of the things they teach in martial arts is not to fight. If you "have always been able to take care of myself no matter how big or small the task was", that's something to be proud of! People respect the man who can walk away from a fight without having to resort to violence; violence makes you seem immature and dumb. Be proud of what you can do; have confidence (a little goes a long way)!!!

You don't need to worry. Just because you don't like fighting doesn't make you less of a man. Everyone is scared of stuff like that.

Now I admit, there are sometimes when fighting is just the only option, and you have to have the courage to fight when those situations arise.

But just because you don't like violence does not mean your less of a man. Chill!

Fighting doesn't make you a "man".

And if you think otherwise- most women would find that a turn off.

Being a man to me means- having a good job, clean life, and well mannered.

Well I think that guys who fight are not really manly..unless he is protecting someone else.

But if a guy just picks fights because so and so was talking ****, that's not manly at all....he's really a loser.

Don't worry about it, and try to STAY OUT of fights.
