Iraqis want us out; soldiers want to get home; Congress critisizes the "open-end" stragegy; ordinary people want Iraqis to fix their own problems.....

Who will object the immediate total withdrawl if Bush ever decides to do that? He probably gets as much critics as he does for any other strategy, but our troops can come home.

he said a couple of months ago that "If nobody but my wife and my dog support me we will stay in Iraq"

Since he said that from his ranch in Crawford, I assume he is just confused again, and maybe somehow thinks he and his wife and his dog actually ARE in Iraq.

Maybe he was volunteering to go over there and give some soldier a break. "you can go home, son, I'm here to relieve you."

I thought that was mighty white of him to volunteer like that. And if Laura is really stupid enough to keep letting him speak for her like that she can go too, it will double the size of the Coalition forces on the ground.

But why did he have to bring his poor ol' DAWG into that mess.?

O yeah Mr Bush, when y'all get over there to Eye-rack would y'all please send the airplane back? We did pay for it you know.

There will be no troop withdrawl. It will be total chaos. Who will protect the oil. Unless the Iraqi government is in total control American troops withrawl will not take place. If there is a withdrawl now America will loose its grip over Middle East. This war is going to be there for some time. Melanie, bopper77, Patrriot have given short and sweet answers.
All the sacrifice of the Soldiers will go in vain. You are not fighting people in uniform, nor there is a battlefield, US soldier have to stick to rules and regulation, have to face inquiry in case of mistakes unlike those they are fighting against. There are snipers taking US soldiers, its a very difficult situation

Some Iraqis want us out....probably the ones that want to kill the others so they can control the country. Soldiers always want to come home....but I promise you...most don't want to leave the job undone. I was a soldier in the first Gulf war and I wanted to come home, but not until what we were sent there for was completed. Otherwise fellow soldiers had sacrificed for nothing. It's hard for me to believe that so many people don't see the disaster that things would be if we were to withdraw immediately from Iraq. Such short sighted thinking will ruin our country if decisions like this were ever to truly take hold in this Country.

The best answer I can give is the comments given to President Bush when visits people who have been wounded or the families who lost loved ones is don't let this be in vain.

However the political cynic I am, I expect that the major withdrawal announcement will be just before the next Presidential election

I would be really upset if we with-drawl from Iraq now. That would put the whole country in chaos. Since we are there, we need to finish what we started. BY that I mean we need to protect the border, make sure no one gets weapons through, and let everyone inside Iraq hash it out how the see fit. Hopefully the Iraqi Police and Military will step up and do what we've trained them to do, and the government will support them.

credit? the conflict become never meant to be gained, in basic terms sustained. the human beings creating wealth off this conflict, halliburton, bankers, different profiteers have made a killing (no pun meant) off of this conflict, and that they are going to proceed to realize this. do no longer think of for a 2d that we are quite attempting to stabilize the area, the conflict is meant to crate a clusterfack, and to stress each and all the human beings from the area, so the traders can swoop in on the oil and defend even bigger income for destiny years. withdrawal of the troops is taking place via fact there at the instant are even severe profile human beings that are so completely disgusted (as they ought to have been 4 years in the past) with the placement that the king moron has indicated his administration in basic terms would not have a call interior the difficulty.

I wouldn't object. Quite frankly I don't give a **** about the iraqis. Let them blow themselves up. There are plenty of other problems on their home soil the troops could be concerning themselves with.

Ammie's right, if we with-draw the troops. That would mean that all the lives that were taken, wouldvev been for nothing. Plus you saw 911, a lot of Americans died, so lets make a lot of Iraqy soldiers die.

The Iraqis will. Some might want us out, but most know that if we leave the insurgents will take over, and they don't want that anymore then we do.
