Doctors and pharmacists typically say they've never heard of this recommendation. I don't think the maker of Lipitor includes this recommendation currently. Reportedly, they did recommend it after their initial research and found that Lipitor lowers CoQ10 levels, which is necessary for muscle (heart is a muscle) functioning.
