A while ago, the icons on my desktop got this washed out faded look to them, how do I go about restoring them?

I fixed the problem once, but it didn't stay fixed and I don't recall how I did it, thanks for the help!

anytime that my icons start to look different the first think i check is to make sure my graphics settings didn't get changed. right click an open area on the desktop go to properties than to settings and make sure your color quality is set to highest.

right click on the programs from your start menu and send to desktop.

change your screen resolution. you can do thid by right clickin on the desktop and choosing appearance.
