My first and foremost reason, is because I believe that the Bible is God's inspired book. Another reason is because most evolutionary "facts" are really an interpretation of data biased towards an evolutionary explanation, while it ignores other valid explanations simply because they are not naturalistic in their origin. Let me give an example. Somehow, oxygen got on a barren planet. A naturalistic explanation that I have seen reported as a "fact" was that anaerobic bacteria over millions of years produced oxygen as a waste product and added it as atmosphere. But this is simply looking at a fact, earth has oxygen, and speculating about what caused it. There is no way to falsify that data, so it cannot be classified as even a theory. Yet this is passed off as science simply because it does not mention God. But science textbooks are very clear what it takes for something to be a theory, speculation, and a fact. All origin interpretations are simply speculation. Like I have said many times Origins should be a class taught totally separate of real science class. So since my first loyalty is to God's word, then I have to accept that speculation as the truth.

I have STUDIED evolution and a friend of mine who has a phD was an evolutionist too. After years I had come to the realization that evolution CANNOT explain some of the basics of evolution itself. The more I studied, the more questions I had.
Evolution is just plain ignorant of what we see in the world... it couldn't have happened.
Truly, to ALL evolutionists: instead of just folling the prof. like a little sheep, ASK QUESTIONS!!!
In fact, most people that believe in evolution just know the surface ... and havent delved deep into the theory.

Is it a cult or a religion to believe in?
No, it is just a scientific theory far from perfect. Many questions concerning it are unanswered: the accuracy of carbon dating, the trustful degrees of fossils and various missing links.
Humanity will never blindly bow down before any religious or scientific theories to become a docile herd; but each rational being will continue to seek into the immense mystery of the universe to enjoy greater and greater amazements.

The intermediate fossils that are claimed by the evolutionary websites are merely examples of other more varied life because of the variations from their ancestors and successors.
I would like to see true intermediates that don't deviate by having unexplainable different features and thus the explanation of "they are not direct intermediates but cousins to the intermediates".
And don't give sites like wikipedia and talkorigins those are an insult to intelligence when you look at the actual facts about the supposed transitional fossils that they claim.
There should be hundreds of complete transitions and yet there are none unless you are willing to blindly accept such sites as are mentioned above without thinking.

Also, when I was in school evolution attempted to explain the beginnings of life by telling us about a pond and how an amoeba formed in this pond. Now, all I hear is how it is not evolutions job to explain how life came about. Maybe, that is because there is no way that it possibly can so you run away from this altogether. What good is a theory that states it is independent of God but still requires a supernatural explanation before it can even begin.

Plenty of evidence AGAINST EVOLUTION:.
First, the 'Cambrian explosion'; the millions of fossil types in Cambrian rock (oldest fossil bearing rocks) appear suddenly and fully formed and without any previous forms...IOW, there are no transitional forms.

Most well educated evolutionists when forced to ...will admit it, but very unwillingly, and even then they always want to seem to make new excuses for it. Usually they just don't say anything about it and hope noone finds out.

The thing to remember is that evolution is still just a theory - a hypothesis, a speculation, an unproven assumption.

Scripture says God SPOKE all things into existence with His Word:

Evolutionist are always looking for a way to convince themselves of foolish things in spite of evidence to the contrary.

Evolutionists invent all sorts of things as they go along.....everytime something doesn't work out right they invent another theory to keep it current with the latest discovers which keep invalidating their last assumption....it is really laughable

And sadly, convincing themselves is not enough for them. They have to further perpetuate their deceptions by spreading around to our nations youth.

The introduction to Genesis and to the whole Bible ascribes everything to the living God, creating, making, acting, moving, and speaking. There is no room for evolution without a flat denial of Divine revelation. One must be true the other false. All of God’s works are good, great, wondrous, and perfect.

Man starts from nothing. He begins in helplessness, ignorance, and inexperience. All his works, therefore, proceed on the principle of evolution. This principle is only seen in human affairs: from the hut to the palace; from the canoe to the ocean liner; from the spade to the plowshare to machines. But the birds build their nests today as at the beginning. There is growth and development within man, but no passing, change, or evolution out from one into another.

For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be evident stages of evolution today. You would be able to find species in many stages of evolution in nature right now. For this theory or fallacy of evolution to be true there would be no God. And that’s exactly what evolutionists believe and are trying prove. The evolutionist bases his or her conclusions on human assumptions and reasoning, instead of on the documentary evidence of the manuscripts.
