the child still considered a mother? Serious question? If you say Yes, tell me why you believe that to be true. If you say No, then tell me why you believe that to be true?

Remember though the English dictionary definition of a mother is a woman who conceives, gives birth to, or raises and nurtures a child. The Bible also says anyone who concieves is a Mother, so now how do you respond? Even if you don't believe the Bible the dictionary and it's definitions have a pretty acurate conclusion as to what a word means.

No she is not a mother, anymore than a women who has a baby and puts it up for adoption is a mother. Any women can give birth, but it is the actual act of raising the child that makes you a mother, not the birth itself.

Whether the woman had an abortion or the baby was miscarried, the woman was a "mother" because she was pregnant with a child. If the child dies, due to an abortion or misscarraige she becomes the mother of a child that died. She is still considered a mother because the child was concieved.

I think that only the woman who experienced that could say that she was or was not a mother. For example, if I miscarried or prematurely gave birth to a baby who then died, I would consider myself not really to be a mother, but to have almost been a mother. However, someone else who experienced that may emphatically feel she mothered that little baby while he or she was in her womb. This question of course only applies to those who don't already have children. As for a woman who chooses to kill her baby, she is not a mother. At all. I see no difference between abortion and murder.

It is like the saying goes, "Anyone can sire a child but not everyone can be a mommy or daddy." I believe the child is being nurtured by the mother's body but the woman does not actually become a mother until the baby is born. Have you ever heard anyone say so and so is pregnant so now she and her hubby are mommy and daddy? Hope that helps you.

IF it was an abortion then no because it means that she did not want to be a mother. A person should not be considered a mother just because she's pregnant. But because she has love for something that is growing inside of her and because she's willing to do everything for that child.

I believe that a woman, the moment she becomes pregnant is a mom.- no matter if the baby lives or not. I apologize to any birth mom that placed their child for adoption. Gypsyiiii.. I am sure that you did not mean to offend in anyway. I am adopted and my 2 children are adopted and I would never say my birth mom is not a mom or my 2 kids birth mom is not a mom. Placing for adoption is the biggest sacrifice a mom can do for her child.

i say that yes she is a mother. she concieved a baby and just because the child was lost does not mean it never existed. you just become the mother of a lost child. people who dont consider a fetus to be a living thing, dont understand basic concepts.

A mother is defined by her loving and nurturing behavior. A mother's love begins during pregnance.

So, if a woman is loving toward her unborn child, then she's a mother. If she aborts it, she's no mother. She's a murderer!

Well if it was by abortion than I would say no, but if the baby was formed and miscarried chances are they named the baby they set up a home and dreamed of what life was like. That baby was a living part of her with feelings and ten fingers, toes and a heart. Chances are they would have to lay the baby to rest and have to remember the day that never came.
