Yes, if a carnal bride who only lives up to 90 years, and after 30 she will start to have wrinkles. But the bridegroom is the everlasting Prince of Peace and the King of kings and Lord of lords. To Him a thousand years is like a day, and a day is like a thousand years. And that Bridegroom is sure to come soon, for the signs He told that will appear just before His return are fast being fulfilled to the last one. The mansions He is preparing is soon ready too, and His promise in John 14:1-3 will be a reality to the dismay of the scoffers and mockers. While the we will rejoice and shout with joy at His appearance on the clouds of heaven to take us back to the City of New Jerusalem, you will also shout, but to the rocks to hide you from the face of the Judge of the Universe, because you have been worshipping your ancestors the King of Kongs instead of the King of kings, and believed that it was the Sun who started life, instead of the Son. What do you say to that?

Peter says "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. "
2000+ years is a long time, but not because God's lazy or a procrastinator - He's holding back for our sake, to give more people time to choose Him and be saved.

If I were "Jesus" i does not desire again to the global the way it truly is now, inspite of the indisputable fact that i don't believe of it truly is the case... How unhappy he must be, extremely.. imagine about it, there's a lot corruption, evilness, sexual predators, rapists, spouse beaters, and the record is going on and on.. i imagine Jesus will be coming very quickly... yet no human being is conscious even as because it says "i am going to come like a thief contained in the evening" will you be waiting? i understand I received't, i'm not a church going human being yet I do have self assurance...

Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
certainly all who were standing there when Jesus purportedly said these words have tasted death, are long dead and dust yet neither they or anyone else seen Jesus come into his kingdom.
as for sensing "God's" timing. well, Jesus indicated he would return within the lifetime of those standing there at the time. this gives ya a pretty good idea of the timing Jesus was estimating.
oops! oh well, nobody is perfect.

Jesus said in the last days there will be more scoffers and people against Christians than ever before, right before He comes back. So, it's possible.

Hi:
I think you are getting lost in faith because it look like you have a fair understanding about scripture. Look Solomon, at the end he married from non faithful gentiles and built and prayed in their temples. Finally he asked where the soul goes? Man soul goes to heaven and beasts to hell. Lost the basics. Don't get into that. Try to stay on course.

Jesus may have already returned and the tribulation already ave occured with judgment befalling Jerusalem just as predicted by Jesus. There are convincing arguments for this view. Look up "preterism".

He will return in 2012 at the end of the world. There have been hundreds of prophecies that 2012 will be the end of time.

You have to understand, God's sense of time is not our time. And just think of how wonderful it will be when He does come back for His own.

I think it is stupid. (Well you asked what I thought of it) Jesus died 2000 years ago and people like you are still waiting for his return. When you are about to die and he still hasn't returned, will you be disappointed?
