Well the only logical reason is because it could drive someone nuts trying to find the answer. It's up to you if you even believe in god.

Question: Why should we never ask "Who Created God"
You might get the answer, and then be required to deny everything your Bubba Preacher has ever told you.(on the subject)
Some of the responses to your questions are classics.
1. God invented time - time for whom? The whole Earth, the whole universe, the time before his parents were born, the time before his Planet developed eternal life at the end of billions of years of evolution.
2. God has always been? Always been where or for whom. To your dog you have always been. Your were there before he was there, therefore "you have always been".
3. "In the beginning" - Well I could go on and on. In the beginning of what? In the beginning of the Universe, In the beginning of Earth, In the beginning of the "Jewish Blood line"? Yes, now we are getting someplace. ... The Bible is a history of the Jewish bloodline from Adam to Jesus. Proof: All the names in the Bible are Jewish names.
Oh yea, one more thing about "In the Beginning" - Well the original Hebrew text didn't exactly read like that. It read something like "our first great tribal leader" -- Of course that was the beginning of the Jewish blood line.
The Bible announces that the bloodline from Adam started 6000 years ago (after you do the math).
The Bible in no way announces that the bloodline of the whole Earth started just 6,000 years ago.
Proof: If you are not an orthodox Jew, you cannot trace your bloodline to Adam. I am sorry about what your Bubba Preacher said, You are not a descendent of Adam. Are your ancestors mentioned in the Bible. I think not.
Added: This may surprise you. I am a Christian. I believe every word Jesus preached. The Holy Spirit has witnessed by mental telepathy just the way Jesus promised.
How to get to Heaven:
Jesus put it best. "Forgive others who have made mistakes. If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive your."
Tough test eh?(Correction, I am trying to be a Christian, I, too, am reluctant to forgive certain folks. But, I pray every night to forgive those who have hurt me. At the judgement, I believe my attitude will carry some weight. (If I have really tried to forgive others.)
Do you hold any grudges? Is Heaven worth it?
(Don't quote Paul, he didn't know Jesus. He just used Jesus, and misquoted Jesus, to build and extend his empire (church)

Because if God is God he was not created :) He is out side of time so he had no beginning and has no end. hard for us to put our heads around it but that is just the way it is when you get on the topic of God.

I've been asked this a billion times. The answer is quite easy. If God existed (I'm not sure myself, but anyway), he would have created the Space–time continuum and the universe as we know it.
Since he is OUTSIDE his own CREATION, he is not subject to SPACE or TIME, thus does not need a creator or a starting point to his "existence".
Think about it. It's like saying a Computer programmer is subject to the perimeters and laws he's placed for his own computer program!

The very first line of Genesis answers that unasked question.
"In the beginning, God..."
That says that God was present "at the beginning". He was not created. The passage answers the question.

If you believe in god, you logically have to ask the next question, where did god come from? You have an un-ending series of questions.

It MUST be asked to really know whether God is self-created. A true belief cannot be a mere blind faith, but a metamorphosis from disbelief to realization.

You should question EVERYTHING! How else will you have a knowledge of right from wrong? If you don't study and then ask the question with sincerity, the holy ghost cannot give you an answer.

The BIBLE says: " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Do you get my point?
