No, but sugar combined w/ alcohol seems to worsen a hangover. Alcohol is produced by yeast and sugar. the sugar is eaten by the yeast and turned into alcohol in a process called fermentation.

No. Alcohol formation requires fermentation. Unless there is something grossly abnormal about the stomach, it is not likely to support fermentation.

This may come from the effect of sugar in possibly getting the alcohol into the bloodstream faster. Fats and proteins will slow down absorption.
