It's not prejudice against rich people, it's merely that a lot of rich people tend to place there material possessions ABOVE GOD as was in the case of the rich young ruler.
17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

The Pope and all catholic clergy take a vow of poverty. The Pope is not "rich" at all. Aside from all of that, you are very close on your "quote" about wealthy people. If you read parts of the Bible, things like makeup and jewlery are considered "worldly" and vain (ie. "daughters of Israel"). Detractors believe that this attitude in the Bible is a ploy to keep the poor in line. If you think about it, wealth might make you comfortable, but it can also make you paranoid and isolated. And always remember-you cannot take it with you when you die. Everything has an alpha and an omega. This is why I do not care if a man has more than I have. In the long run, it really does not matter because life is so short. The good things don't come to you in the form of materialism. Maybe if we lived for 500 years my attitude would be different.

The bible is not prejudiced against rich people. What God is trying to say is that you should, as a rich person, share what you have with those who need it. It is better for you to live comfortably or even poor and share all you have than to have someone next to you suffering b/c they are doing without. God wants us to be rich, that doesn't mean monetarily rich necessarily. If you die with millions in the bank.. who is that benefiting? And how many countless others have suffered and died while you squandered away all those millions in "things" and hidden it away in a vault somewhere. The message really is, "Help those around you with all you have been blessed with. If you don't you'll not be able to sit next to God." That doesn't mean you can't be rich... just help people with what you have.

just as God gave us his son save us . and his son gave us his life
we are to give up all the excess that we have to care for the poor .
having a lot of money and wealth and being like the man bible in the story of Lazarus is very unwise.
being born into a family with lots of money will not alone result in a person going to hell .
having charge over that money and not caring for the poor is a sin.
in regards to references to a quote about money this is how it goes. "the love of money is the root of all evil"
the word money is a translation of another word the meaning is
the love of worldly things is the root of all evil.
if you have money any money that is more then is needed to live in a reasonable manner and you don't use the excess money to help the poor Gods will is not being done.
The pope is a position that over time has become more worldly then might be wise.
Faith in God the father and the son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost along with a full effort to follow the teachings of Christ obey the commandments of God's will by the love of GOD results in forgiveness by the sacrifice of JESUS.

Well, maybe it was written by people who were prejudiced against rich people. Either way, people wrote the stories in it, and if they thought that rich people are condemned to eternal damnation then I really think that anger management should have been created much earlier. (I'm not suggesting anything of you btw) people take stories too literally.

Being rich is not the problem. It is being tied to the material things of this world at the expense of the spiritual world that is the problem. There can and are wonderful people who have money that do God's will, just as there are poor who resist it.
Money is a tool that can be used for the betterment of man or for personal gain and greed.
If you love God and use what you have for good then do not worry my friend.
God be with you.

There are many rich that are saved and definitely going to heaven, however it is the riches that keep people from it as many of them find it hard to think that they have to give it up. however this is not true. God just wants to make sure that thier salvation is more important than thier money or riches.
I have a brother that is not saved, as he believes that things are going good in his life right now. However, it is holding him back from being saved as he thinks that he does not need God.! We pray for him and all but as long as he thinks that he is fine with things as they are, then he feels why get saved ?
So its is hard for those that have much.! More than those who do not. !

lt is not prejudiced to the rich. lt is merely pointing a flaw (arrogance) that most rich people have. When you think of it, they still have that flaw in them up to the present time.
You have to remember that many servants of God like King David and the other kings were rich. The same with the other prophets even if they are not kings.
So how can there be prejudice?

the bible is not prejudice to rich people! most "rich people" care more about spending their money in worldly ways, instead of doing what GOD wants them to do with it. like caring for the less fortunate, homeless,&the hungry! it's the love of money thats the problem.GOD wants us all to be blessed, and he will bless all that will let him.soloman was the richest man that ever has been or ever will be.so i know that there is a lot of rich people that will be in heaven!!!

Yes, there are rich people who are Christians, but generally it is hard for someone who has everything they need and want to feel that they need to rely on God. Think about the rich young ruler. Christ told him to sell all that he had and the man went away sad. Christ told him that to show the man that he loved his possessions more than he loved God.
