I would have to go with Lamotta. Lamotta was a big middleweight but so was Fullmer. I think Lamotta was a little smarter with a little better technique. Lamotta also beat Robinson once in his prime which I don't think Fulmer would have ever done. It would have been a great brutal fight but I just give the edge to Lamotta with his left hook to the body being the difference.

LAMOTTA - W 83 (KO's 30) TF 106 - W pct 78% - KO pct 28% - wins over Robinson, Zivic[2] Cerdan and Satterfield - KO'ed by Robinson and B. Fox (unknown fighter) - #52 ranked fighter
The movie "Raging Bull" was about LaMotta's life.

FULLMER - W 55 (KO's 24) TF 59 - W pct 85% - KO pct 38% - wins over "Tiger" Jones, Robinson, Basilio{2}, Tiger, Giardello and Paret - KO'ed by Tiger and Robinson - #74 ranked fighter
Bother of fighter Don Fullmer
Paret fought Fullmer before he was killed in the ring by Griffin. It has been said that Paret suffered a terrible beating in that fight.

When I first looked at this bout I thought LaMotta. After analyzing as I always do. Fullmer was able to defeat a lot a good/great fighters. In this bout I have Fullmer in a close 15 rd split decision.

Both of them beat and lost to Robinson this is a toss up. I would say that LaMotta would win by decision.
