I am a Buddhist.
The second part of your question is very interesting.Different schools of Buddhism will give you different answers. From Theravada perspective, there won't be any Buddha in the present as we are technically still in the dispensation of Gotama Buddha;Arahants yes.Mahayanist will tell you that there are many Buddha. In the end,it is only a matter of semantic.
Hope this help.

All beings have the essence of the thus-gone-one (skt: tathAgatagarbha, tib: de bzhin gshegs pa'i nying po) within them, and upon perfect complete enlightenment, a Buddha sees that all things are inseparable from perfect Buddha-nature. So, the question becomes, is there anything out there that is NOT Buddha?

BTW--I am a Buddhist, and many would dispute that there are no living Buddhas today. Many adherents of Tibetan Buddhism hold that there are emanations of various buddhas in human form among us now. These are called sprul sku (pron: tulku, from skt nirmanakAya) or in Tibetan rin po che.
