Not cool, if they want to advance into the civilized world, the first thing they should do is abolish the death penelty. What better way to symbolize such mercy than by sparing a dictators life? It would have been a bigger penelty to lock him away for the rest of his life, constantly dropping the soap in the shower; they gave him the easy way out. Oh well, too late now. It will just become a sticking point for yet more violence.
Hey, wait. There's another country that still kills criminals, and on a regular basis...

I have mixed feelings about the whole thing.
I think this war is messed up and might create a bigger mess in the future through the area of the world.
BUT, catching Saddam was one of the bright spots. He was a BAD BAD BAD man who deserved what he got. The new Iraq government could have been more professional about his hanging, though.

Pointless for civilized people to murder another...even one of saddam's character....
Life in Prison would have stood for---we don't believe in his method of executioning....so called trouble makers...we all felled to his level....
no matter how terrible he was---we should have shown the world--we can overcome evil power with good and compassion..
His execution will only cause huge loss of life and property damage for generations to come..

I believe the only way to keep people safe from his insanity was to execute him. His execution should not have been made public in any way. People who get off on watching any ones execution are sick little twists.
