The fact is that geneticists are only supposed to follow ethics principles. They are based on the principles of respect for the entire human population, not only a secluded group of people or a certain religion.There are exceptions, of course, like any other human endeavor.
However, they will not deprive humanity from a life saving discovery just because Allah forbids this or that.
It will be difficult to respect all religions. By having your own religion, you are, by definition, disrespecting all other religions, because you don't follow their preachings.
Why shouldn't a geneticist be able to do the same thing you are doing?

No, I do believe that they should never have to "be nice to religious groups." And yes, I am religious.

Science is not religion, it is explaining the quantitative things in the universe, so what if it proves a faith wrong?
