I saw a question on here a while ago about having goldfish in bowls as a centerpiece at a reception, and I love the idea, but I'm interested in other imaginative & creative ideas as well. Please give me your ideas. (Our theme is daisies, and we're nature lovers) Thank you

If you use the fish idea do not use goldfish as you might find several belly up by reception time. Use "beta fighting fish". Many are sapphire blue in color. They don't require much care and will last once they get home - mine is already 6 months.

Another idea is :

Pacing photos of Yourselves through the years on a small stand on each table. The photos ARE copied and are being put back to back. This will give all of Your guests something to look at and laugh about during dinner.

OR

Rather than have a wedding cake and then a sheet cake for the guests, use the cake as the centerpiece. Each table would have a cake on a stand with a few flowers on top and tea candles around it. The table for the bride and groom would have a two tiered cake instead of one with a custom centerpiece.

The price for 20 round cakes is similar to sheet cakes and a huge wedding cake and they make an interesting centerpiece.

this website that i found has a very pretty centerpiece (or at least in my opinion). it's basically a glass bowl with water and floating candles that are flowers. since you said you like daisies, you could put daisies in the bowl instead, the second website has daisy floating candles that you can buy. i think that would be a really cute idea!

I saw some that were Gerber daisies in grass they were very pretty and very inexpensive.
You could also try putting daisies onto something I used poinsettias on wagon wheels with garland for the sides of my head table turned out very nice.
You could try making a center piece out of wood carved into a tea light holder and surround it with a ring of daisies.Or make wood candle holders out of small logs at different levels place these in a group of four spiraling down each of the four logs a little shorter than the last and decorate bottom with a ring of daisies.

Picture a tall 5" or so in diameter cylinder glass vase. In the bottom you get get cheap river rocks, or stones for the bottom. Put in one stem of the daisies. Tall grasses would look great in there too. Then put about 3 inches of water in each one and a fish. It will have a more natural look then just a fish in a glass jar. its also very naturey haha

Use a few daisies in a see through glass bowl, or maybe square vase and fill it up with water, and put in the gold fish or fighting fish to swim around the daisies. :-)

Float daisy shaped candles (or real daisies) in a glass bowl filled with water and glass marbles.

My friend used gerbera daisies as her theme. They were pink and turquoise. She put a few in a medium sized glass vase and surrounded them with candles. It was cute.
I'm partial to "easy" so I would probably buy potted daisies and put them in pots that match my wedding colors.
