Um, ...because the bigger countries haven't committed acts of war against us?
Do you know anything about history, or do you just randomly ask questions for points?

Well since World War II we have gone to defend South Korea during their civil war with the North. We have gone in to help the government of Vietnam at their request in their war with the North. We have gone to Africa and have assisted their government with their civil war. We have gone to Iraq during the Persian Gulf war when they invaded Kuwait. We have gone into Afghanistan in retalitation for their attack on the World Trade Center. And last but not least, we invaded Iraq again because they didn't comply with the UN resolutions and George Bush had a dream that they had weapons of mass distruction and was hiding the Al-Queda people that bombed the WTC.
The Untied States has made alot of mistakes in the last 60 years in regards to the people that we have tried to assist. Like the Shaw of Iran, Marcos in the Phillipines, Saddam in Iraq, Osama in Afghanistan, Sigyam Rhee in South Korea, the South Vietnam Government during the Vietnam war and so many others. We never did our homework to see if the government that we were going to help was corupt or even somewhat of the peoples choice. We have some very stupid people that work in the intelligence field that make assumptions based on what they know, which is more often than not, not very much. We put people in charge of agencies or departments that have no clue of the job, but because they helped somebody get elected, they get to head FEMA. The people appointed to head intelligence branches lets say of Iran, probably have not done extensive research on that country and know as much as the common man that watches CNN.
IF you look at all of the world problems since 1945, all of them have been created by the leaders of the country. I do not know of one solider that has started a war on their own. It is always the politician that starts something then it is the men and women of the country that have to pay the ultimate price for thier idiot views.
The United States has not been picking wars with smaller country's, they have been performing clean up duty for the mistakes that they made in the past.

Soviet Union, not a smaller country. China loomed over Viet nam and Korea where we feared the Communist getting the upper hand by taking over tease divided lands. In desert storm Iraq had a comparable size air and ground arsenal to ours. I know we have not been picking wars with smaller country's for a fact. But a lot of times some of these places are where bigger nations struggles take place.

MONEY is the issue.Larger country's are secure in economic disarray. As long as the central economic system remains the objective MONEY will persevere. The lives of combatants are irrelevant on either side.BUT,, to answer your question directly,,,we need to continue to develop weapons for conventional warfare.Tell yourself the truth.Who will benefit from this 60 year plan? Not the Arabs? Not the Westerners? Not the Asian?

where else can the new arms be live tested new medicines. we have to sell arms to earn money. to keep the world in constant fear so that they can spend more money on arms which probably used for education and infrastructure. with low education and higher poverty levels we can buy goods cheap. The small country will live in poverty after war with their economy devastated. They will have to sell their natural resources cheap etc etc

First-
name a bigger country that has attacked us or done something worthy of us using force
Second-
In the gulf war we invaded Iraq 4 invading Kuwait, and then ignoring a resolution from the U.N. saying get out of Kuwait, and they'd use force if Iraq didn't..
then we invaded Afghanistan for some reason...I can't remember why...OH RIGHT!! THEY ATTACKED US!!!(September 11, 2001)they were also protecting Al-queida members(the people who planned the attack that killed hundreds of people...)
Now we're at war with Iraq whose former leader was attempting to aid Al-Queida and was suspected of possession of mass destruction

Cuz if you pick a war with a larger nation you are guaranteed most of the time to lose. For the rest of the ignorant, US did not lose the Korean and Vietnam wars. Politicians lost sthe war cuz they will not let the military do their thing. Like a city slicker telling the farmer how to grow crops.

Only last 60 years, eh? The last war we fought against a real superpower, without having allies, was the war of 1812, and we only won our part of it because the British were more seriously interested in taking over India and parts of Africa and the south pacific, and fighting their more serious rivals from the rest of Europe.

1st - The USA has not "picked" on anyone. It has defended other countries & itself. We have the strongest economy & no benefit to fight others.
2nd - We have fought many worthy adversaries & won. It
is hard to fight disguised soldiers hiding behing their women, children, & elderly - hence Viet Nam & Iraq.
3rd - Where is our education program that so many lack basic knowledge on the strengths & power of the US today & for the past 60 yrs.
4th - I have friends who will happily pay for one way tickets for the "ungrateful for freedom" people to leave the US & never come back. Advertise in area & find sponsors - no benefit to keep those who do not want to be American & plenty of people who want to come to US & be American..
