The production of electricity often requires the burning of fossil fuels or the use of nuclear fission, both of which have by-products that can pollute.
If electricity is wasted, unnecessary pollution from these sources can result.

Every bit of electricity needs to be produced in an often polluting way. So if you waste it (by for example letting your car run while you're doing groceries, or having all the lights on in your house while you're only in one room watching tv) then the pollution created by making the energy you waste, was made unnecessarily.
So if everyone would just be more careful with using electronic devices, using them only when they need them, then less energy has to be converted to electrity/oil/other useful energies, and there will be less pollution.
If only, if only...

Whether we waste electricity or not, when we use electricity that is not produced ala "green", we are creating pollution. When non-renewable forms of energy like natural gas, coal are used for production of that electrical energy, they release green house gases and other particulate emissions that cause pollution, the most serious of which is carbon dioxide. We humans put so many tons of co2 in the air! Even nuclear energy releases some pollutants. It is solar, wind generators and geo-thermal renewable-green sources of electrical energy that are very clean and do not have emissions-pollutants. The US is far behind many countries in their pursuit of green living. If we used solar electric instead of the LONG outdated non-green electric utility and used electric cars charged up overnight in our garages instead of fossil fuels like gas and deisel, we could make great progress in easing global warming. US is about to embark on a solar revolution. CA, the state I had to leave because I could no longer breathe there, now has legal mandates to utilize solar panels on a million buildings in the next decade. US company will be renting solar panels to homeowners starting this fall to help ease this pollution and global warming. 100,000 homes will be fitted with solar panels in their start-up year. Contact me for more info. We can all do our part. Are you part of the solution or the problem? Rethink solar and join the solar revolution! Be a part of green history that really makes a difference!

Electricity is created and sent to your house, so the machinery and things they burn to create the electricity pollutes the air. So, when you waste electricity, you indirectly cause pollution.

Your electricity could be generated by using a coal plant or gas turbine machine, which causes pollution. So if you are wasting electricity you are making this coal plant to burn more coal which causes pollution

Power plants usually burn something (coal, oil, natural gas, ect.) to generate electricity, and when things burn you get pollution. The more electricity you waste, the more things burn, thus the more pollution. Simple eh?

Because majority of electricity generating methods produce one form of pollution or another. So the more of it is required to be produced, you could say that, more pollutants will be produced.

electricity is produced by many forms including the burningof coal at some places thes matter is going out into the air and also we have to provide more oil or coal or other substances to produce the electricity that is wasted

Wasting electricity is also a waste of money, and you would have to earn more to pay for that waste. Save some money, save the world.
