In fact, as a Christian Im also mocked by atheist in my office.
they even didn't know that im not against gay, or against atheist because I was an atheist before.
They just simply mock me, because I go to church on sunday.
Now I don't know what worst than that? Atheist claim they are good in moral, but turn out that poeple tend to walk on the majority side, and mock the minority.
I know once i decide to be Christian, I will face this such a thing.
I've been a cruel atheist before and now I know I must take the consequence to live in a faith.
You're not alone my lady, we face the same ****. But never give up.

Oh yeah! I made the biggest mistake of my life a while ago -- going to my friends church! I have been raised in a non practicing Russian Orthodox family, so I believe in incluvism (the belief that people can reach heaven other ways than Jesus). And my religion has no official position on homosexuality. Anyway, my friend's church spen 2 hrs telling everyone to convert mormons and other people from Christian religions. And saying homosexuals were going to hell. It was absolutely ridiculus, and I had an incredibly difficult time not screaming at the pastor. I rarely tell people what religion I am (yes I know I did earlier in the paragraph) because I'm afraid they will reject me. I don't believe homosexuals are evil and I have disdain for people who try to convert others. So yes, I know how you feel.

You're a Christian yet you reject His Word?
1Corinthians 6:9 clearly state what He deems to be an abomination.
True you are not tasked to convert anyone - that is the work of the Holy Spirit - but you (we) are given a commission as stated in Matthew 28.
Worried about people hating you? Jesus said they would.
John chapter15
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
Keep the faith.

The moment I looked at the beginning of your question I knew what was coming. I cannot, of course, speak for everyone, but nearly every atheist or agnostic I've seen on this board answers a fair question fairly. Of course anger is sometimes a response when someone has been attacked. I'd like you to show me an example of an atheist/agnostic "hating" you anywhere on this board. Forget what Christ says about 'judgement' for a moment; we are all human. I see in some of your answers and responses that you do support peace between people, but I cannot help but feel your question carries a biased steretyoping of atheists even farther. From what I can see, you are getting kind responses from them and rather unkind ones from those of the same faith.
I sincerely hope you are attempting to promote peace. The term "hate" is a strong one and carries with it the sting of prejudice. You also word your question rather vaguely. As an agnostic of sorts, I am a bit insulted by your accusations of hatred. I hope that you continue to not be "against anyone" because of their views on religion, but questions like this hardly tell the real story as you only include Christians as responders. I think you know how most will react to being "embarassed to admit" they are Christian. Nobody should be. This is not what most of us are saying. However, when a Christian does come out with fists drawn insulting our beliefs, we sometimes react in kind. When biblical verse comes into the response of others, it tends to belittle my own beliefs because it is most often used as a tool against me. There are those who don't do this. I would never direspect their Christian beliefs. From what I can see of your respondents thus far, no atheist has insulted you.
Please, if you truly believe you are being condemned by atheists, show examples. If not, perhaps it would help most if you promoted your causes actively as well as on the board. To ask a question promoting prejudice and then claiming to be unbiased yourself doesn't work quite well. It only incites those of similar faith to you. Leave "hatred" out of it next time. Please know, though, that I respect your desire to be fair and tolerant.
All the best.
EDIT- Having spoken to you, I know that you are truly on here trying to promote peace and tolerance among religions. It is people like you who are the reason "good" exists in humanity. My apologies for not being sure if I could trust you initially - the word "hate" upset me because it is not a stance I have seen most atheists take. Thank you for making this world a better place to live. And bless you.

Preachers are regular people as everyone else. They've simply been trained to teach the Word. They sin and fall short just as each of us. Good for you not holding judgement on anyone. I have a hard time joining a church as I see this behavior often. The church seems to be more of a business than it use to. But then who am I to judge others behavior! The point is to worship and rejoice in the Lord not even look at others.

The world will hate us whether other Christians give us a bad reputation or not. The Bible says so. Christians who don't follow the true spirit of Christianity just make it easier and seemingly more reasonable for the world to hate us. Either way, you should not be ashamed, because that means that you are ashamed of Christ or at least it will look that way to non-Christians. Whether or not that is true, that will not be a very good witness to Him. The Bible also says that homosexuality is wrong, it is also wrong to hate gay people, but it is not right to condone what they are doing. Also, though we are not called to actually convert anyone (that's the Holy Spirit's job), we are called to witness (in a loving and respectful manner, of course). Anyway, it is not right to be ashamed of the fact that you are a Christian under any circumstances.

I lot of bad things have happened due to religious beliefs.
You named a couple. And a lot of the dying in Iraq is based upon the difference in the religions.
I was raised by parents who believed in the old fashion Christian religion. But in the late 1960's, when I was in high school, I read an article in a history book that really shook me up - it was about a priest who was with the Spanish when they invaded South America. He had painted a picture to send back to Spain with his report. The Spanish had taken all of the Indians from a village to a field and called them up, one by one, and told them they needed to denounce their God and accept the Roman Catholic Church. When they didn't, the Spanish "killed those heathens". In the report the priest said they had killed several thousand on that day.
Its not God or religion that is BAD. What is BAD, is what people do in the name of GOD or RELIGION that is BAD.
If 2 people, want to live together - why should that bother me? Unless they are asking me or my wife to join them, why should I care what they do in private?

Nobody can ever say about himself, I am a Christian. We are all call to be Christian through baptizm, yet very few are really Christians.
Luke 18:9-14
9And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
10Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

I totally understand where you are coming from. The problem is, you shouldn't be embarrassed to admit you are Christian. The reason you feel this way is because a lot of the "preaching," bible-thumping crazies are not really Christians at all. They rely on hate, and that is not Christian.

I can agree with you whole heartedly. I get the same treatment for my Religion and beliefs all the time.
When I am confronted about it I don't bash anybody or their Religion. I just show them what I believe in I am NOT trying to convert anybody but if they are interested I will talk with them, and if they disagree then we have an agreement.
We agree to disagree, but I can still be friendly with them.
The only thing that I can NOT stand is RACIST ARROGANCE.
We are ALL EQUAL EVEN WHEN WE DISAGREE.
