i need to know how viscosity is used in modern day thigs.
i allready know that the viscosity of motor oil is a useful way of viscosity

Fly paper - high viscosity

You know about motor oil for lubrication but how about transmission fluid for power tranmission in the torqe converter of a car...

Hydraulic fluid in power equipment like backhoes ect requires some viscosity so as to not leak by the seals of the pistons ect...

Penetrating oil has a low viscosity to allow it to seep into the joints of rusted parts.

Bath Tub/tile cleaner has a high viscosity so as to stick to the walls and not run

Some compasses have a dampening fluid in them to stabilize the needle and make it easier to read

Viscosity it the measure of a fluid's ability to flow. Its measured in something called 'saybolt seconds' - where a known volume is allowed to pass through a specific sized orifice and the time measured.
