I cry a lot. It's usually a reason, and I often cry about answering questions in school, video games, asking questions, Not being able to give something to who I like, before bed, thinking I shouldn't like who I like... I've been insulted by this in school since kindergarten. How can I stop crying as much.

maybe you are just sensitive and a teenager learning to grow and that's not a bad thing, if the tears are controlling your life in more than one aspect, however, then it might help to talk to someone about your underlying feelings. Don't take a diagnosis from anyone here, they are not qualified to diagnose and even if they are psychologists they can not possibly diagnose on the information you have given. it is too easy for people to say you have depression without knowing everything about what you are feeling. people often assume that just because you are sensitive or emotional means you are suffering from a mental illness. It doesn't mean that at all. the way some people quickly conclude that you must have depression is harmful, it labels and puts you into a category that might may actually make you feel worse. if you are genuinely concerned about it and can't put it down to just growing up then by all means talk to someone about it , but not here this isn't the right place. this just untrained people making harmful diagnosis. i hope you can find a way to deal with this and if you need it you find the right help for you. All the best.

Depression could be a reason. Also, you could just be an emotional person. Crying is a great way to get your emotions out. If you feel the need to express your emotions, do it. If people insult you, that's their own problem. They should except you for who you are.

one thing that helped me was breathing.
i cried a helluva lot over most of my life but
one day someone explained that the way i
wasn't breathing was causing it. next time you
feel the tears coming, focus on taking deep,
continuous breaths. even if you do cry it won't
make as much noise. but i find usually i no longer
cry. breathing has a lot to do with it.
this has helped me control my crying at work and in school etc.
don't try to change or control the feelings that
are generating the crying. they will still be there and
you can still have them. as long as you breathe!

It sounds like you have had depression since your childhood. I would start by going to your family doctor and telling him how you feel. Ask if he can recommend a good psychologist for you to talk to. That will help. And he may put you on some meds, or one med, to help with your sadness. You are not different than any one else, even though you may have different thoughts then them. You deserve to be happy. Get help!

I agree with some of them, that it is obviously depression.
But I don't agree with them all the way with going to a psychiatrist, unless you want too.
I have been to my share of "shrinks" against my will, and it doesn't do anyone any good.
But, if you want to get better, then go, you probably will feel better.
I hope you feel happier soon.
Good Luck.
