I disagree with your assumption that a clump of a few dozen cells is a "baby".
If it can't think, move, feel pain, breathe, or survive on it's own, how can it be a "life"?

I know what ya mean, I mean you can see the baby's form before you can do an abortion and how can they say that a baby is only tissue when he/she is in the womb, but when he/she comes out they are a person? I don't get that, I really don't. I don't think people think, I really don't. For crying out loud, the baby is a living human being from the moment he/she's conceived. What would happen if your mother or my mother decided to get an abortion, we might not be here, and if they did get one than that would have been fine, to other people that is. Also, doctors do the procedures, they're doctors, they should know that babies are not just tissue and that they do have a brain, a heart, fingers, toes, they are a human being. Sorry, but this subject gets me really heated and mad. Why can't women just put the baby up for adoption if they don't want them, I just wish that somehow they would take responsiblity for them and not go through the way of abortion. Grrr, I get mad about this.

Abortion is a huge issue as it reflects the struggle of the woman to be equal to the man in society. In a man's world, the woman is born to bare children, maintain a household, and provide him stability and pleasure. However, a woman is much more than that. A woman is person whose abilities are equal or greater to that of a man, and thus should not have to abide by the rules and regulations of a male-dominated government. A woman who was raped and molested should not have to deal with an impregnation if she is not capable of supporting a child. A woman who had sex out of wedlock and can't afford to take care of a child, then it is her civic duty to have an abortion. If a child is not properly raised and taught morally and ethically, the greater risk that that child will develop illegal habits, such as robbery and drug-abuse, and inflict upon society (Freakonomics). It is not fair to the society as a whole, as well as the woman, if a man decides that abortion should be illegal. We aren't killing babies, we are killing embryos, which have yet to enter the world as babies.
In addition, in the chance that the embryo contains the genetic information for a fatal or life-altering genetic disease, and the parents cannot or do not have the proper resources to nurture the child, if born, with this disease, the parents should have the right to abort the embryo. Again, a man can walk out on a woman and her child, thus a woman should have the same freedom if it is direly necessary.

No I can't. I can't believe people have no compassion for a baby that cannot fight for its own life. Please spare me the women's rights. If a woman does not want a baby then maybe she should keep her legs closed. If you are pro-choice you are seriously disturbed. Think about this, if your mother had been selfish and stupid enough to abort you then YOU WOULD NOT BE HERE. I can't belive that women can be so selfish as to murder her child because her boyfriend does not want it. I can see a litlle point to a rape baby. But still trying to solve an act of violence with another one makes no sense. Never, under any circumstances would i EVER abort or put my child up for adoption. That child carries part of me in its blood, it is part of my flesh.
I hope that one day people willl realize that abortion solves NOTHING at all and will come to their senses.

What if the government made it legal to kill all children just before they go to kindergarten? Would that then make it right? Just because something is legal doesn't make it right. Killing off our own offspring sometimes only days before they would have been born is the most evil, corrupt, and vile garbage that I have ever heard of, legal or not. A woman wants the rights over her own body, what about the separate body of the baby? where are his/her rights? Separate heartbeat, different blood type etc. Don't even try to convince me the baby is not a separate person. That is the biggest lie ever concocted by man.

So are you for capitol punishment? Or eating meat? Or the war over in other parts of the earth? Either way you are killing a living thing/person/animal/being. So where do YOU draw your line? The abortion that I consider to be OK is pretty much the standard. When you wash your hands you are killing bacteria that COULD possibly be the cure for AIDS(chances are slim) but either way you are still killing a mutli-celled organism. That is all a zygote is. It has potential to be a person...but it is not.

i agree with you , how can they say its not a baby, what the heck is it. If it is made inside of a human, then obviously it is a human baby. It is a baby from the time of conception. Would these people let their own children die if they had to depend on them for food and oxygen after they were born, because a baby inside a mother has to depend on her for food and oxygen. If any of you have children can you imagine them not being here with you now? you are killing babies plain and simple.

The word Fetus in Greek means baby. I dont know what these people think but, the semantics game was played very well in Nazi Germany with the "Jewish Question" and "The Solution" It does not matter what you call it the truth of the matter is the truth of the matter --- It's MURDER.

Unfortunately some people are selfish. Their child is an inconvenience for them, so they kill it. That's what abortion is all about. I'm sure some realize, after it's too late, what a horrible choice they made.

Why can't a woman have an abortion in the early stages of pregnancy before it starts forming into a baby? At the rate this thing is going, women eventually will be jailed for menstruating because they have discharged eggs from their bodies.

Do you not realize how many pregnancies are a result of rape or incest, which is not a loving act of procreation, but a violent act of dominance?
Do you not realize how many pregnancies are a result of poverty? If birth control was distributed FREE OF CHARGE to people living in poverty, there would be less need for abortion and fewer children living in poverty.
Do you not realize how many preganancies are a result of lack of education? If we properly educated our children about sex and its consequenses - INCLUDING unwanted pregnancy and the resposibility it carries for them to raise a baby before they themselves reach adulthood- they would have the information and tools they need to prevent pregnancy if they decided to engage in sex.
So no, we are not fighting over killing babies...we are fighting over much, MUCH more.
