It depends who you ask and who is injesting said liquids. Caffeine in coffee has been proven to increase metabolism leading to weight loss, yet has also been known to be a catalyst to increasing ones appetite.

Red wine has been proven to have cardiovascular benefits yet can be a detriment if you have little self control and can not stop at the second glass.

I say drink both. Anything done in moderation is not going to kill any one of us.

A glass or two of red wine is good for you but caffeine is bad so unwind with wine after a hard day's work but opt for a protein shake instead of the cup of java in the morning. You're body will thank you for it and you'll feel better too! (once you've weened yourself off the caffeine that is!) :)

And to those saying that caffeine is good for you read this: http://stress.about.com/od/stresshealth/a/caffeine.htm

Depends. If you're on a diet, wine, since it has about 100 calories a glass and coffee has 0. Of course, if you're hyperactive, coffee is worse...

As long as you drink the coffee in the morning and the wine after you are done driving, both are good for you.

Average intake required is about 2 1/2 litres per day. 1 litre to replace fluid lost as urine and 1 1/2 litres for the loss from the skin an lungs. More is needed if it is warm, or if you exercise. If you drink much less than this, the urine output drops, waste products like urea will accumulate in the blood and the kidneys may be damaged.

The alcohol in the wine weakens your brain, and the caffeine in the coffee weakens your heart (but not nearly as much). So, which do you want to do: damage your brain a bit, or overwork your heart a bit?

Wine, but it wouldnt be really harmful. 2 cups of coffee are not only not harmful, but they are healthy, they help your short-term memory and provide some nutrients that will help you against virus.
