Especially, if you work in a professional setting--skirts, etc.
Has it been an issue at all?

i have one on my ankle, and used to work at retail stores and in the VA Hospital at am optical shop. the Vets loved it. they showed me their old ones on their arms, and asked about mine all the time. bosses didn't mind at all. at my current job, i wear a uniform with pants, so it doesn't really matter, but the officers all have them, visible or not. not a problem.

I got my ankle tattoo at the ripe old age of 36 and have not regreted it once. I work in a very professional environment, so I had the tattoo done on the inside of my ankle where it would not be quite so obvious. During the warm weather, I do wear skirts and if anything, I get comments on how pretty it is (it's an orchid with the stem twining around the bone of the ankle). I don't make a big deal out of it and I look and act in a professional manner so it's never been a problem for me.

I got a tattoo on my ankle when I was 21, and am now an elementary teacher and still love it! It hasnt been an issue at all. Of course, tattoos are so common nowdays that I am one of several teachers at my school that has a visible one.

I've made it a point to keep all my tats in hidden areas of my body until I figure out what I want to do when I "grow up". I work with a lot of internationals and tats have different connotations in different countries and I want to make them as comfortable as I can when I first meet them. If I end up at a job where the dress code is more lax, I'll probably get some more visible tats.

No i have 7 tattoos and they are all over my body, im a female and work with children, every day, i have 2 dolphins on each ankle... And in the summer when i wear sandals, the children love it....

i work in business and have several tattoos. i try to wear opaque stockings whenever possible, but it has never been an issue.
I am respectful about the fact that others may not want to see tattoos in a business setting so I do attempt to keep their exposure to a minimum.

Mine has been aching due to the cold weather. Funny my arms don't hurt. The ankle is pretty boney.

i've heard some people are really strict and make the person cover it up if guests come.
