I ask because these are the three I seem to see on the R&S section most frequently.

And for those who want to know, I am Christian, and not looking to change, only learn.

The three religions all originated in the Middle East; all are beliefs in monotheism (one god). Judaism is the oldest; the Old Testament of the Christian Bible is based upon the Torah or Jewish holy book. Jews believe that the Messiah is yet to come, while Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah, and Muslims believe that Muhammed is. Each religion has its own holy book (Islam's is the Koran or Q'uran). Christian Catholics and Protestants have different versions of the Bible, and throughout history there have been many translations of the Christian Bible. The Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew or Aramaic, and the New Testament was written in Greek. Additionally, each religion observes its own practices and follows its own "laws" as "given" by its "God".

Here is a somewhat different perspective from what you will be getting here. Islam's holy book, the Quran, has the following to say on this issue:

"O you who believe (Muslims)! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whosoever among you takes them for a friend, then surely shall become one of their number; surely Allah does not guide (those Jewish and Christian) people." - Sura 5:51

If you wanna understand the difference you would have to look at the way they perceive God and prophet.what divides Muslims from both Jews and Christians is that in Islam prophets are not just normal people. Why can't i be prophet:because you have to have a certain capacity to be chosen a prophet. If you are chosen by God himself to guide humanity in His place you can't be going on a Bing. You can't be doing all kinds of crazy stuff.God never makes a mistake so in choosing you as a messenger he knows what he is doing. Now thee is two kinds of capacity :one that you develop by the virtue of you efforts and the one which is God given.Messengers of God already have been Gifted that Capacity when they are born.In Islam all the prophets(Moses,Jase's,Abraham,Muhammad) peace be upon them are considered to be infallible.

Jesus -- Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God made flesh on earth to save us from our sins. Jews did not recognize Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah, even though He fit the description. Islam considers Jesus only to be a teacher/prophet.

The difference is this: founder of Judaism, Abraham, is in his grave. Founder of Islam, Mohammad is in the grave. Founder of Christianity, Jesus is not in the grave. Christianity is a religion of the empty grave.

There are probably more similarities than differences. All religions are heavenly and originate from God.

Among the differences are main Prophet(s), lawful and unlawful items, and how prayer is performed.

They've appeared in succession in history, each one re-enforcing the beliefs of the one before, but also correcting misconceptions.
