ABSOLUTELY! Here is the trick to losing that weight. First off, if you drink alcohol, limit the amount of alcohol you consume to a very low amount because alcohol complicates the process of losing weight greatly. Slowly begin to up the amount of water you drink a day. Drink 4 bottles a day at least, it helps remove waste out of your bloodstream and boost your metabolisms upper range of burning calories. (Keep in mind, you may gain water weight fora short period of time, ignore this because the moment you discontinue drinking so much water, it will begin to decline). Now here are the key parts. Exercise. Make sure that your routines are rigorous and push your body's limits. Easy-short sets dont force your body to burn more calories because as you become stronger your body becomes more efficient. For the first month you should try to boost your cardio so during the later months you can work out longer and more rigorously. To do this you should hit the tredmill and figure out how far you can run at a comfortable speed, then the next day you should run as fast as possible to see how long you can run at that top speed. Your goal should be to either run that max distance at your top speed or to exceed those limits and raise the bar. Since you are trying to lose weight and not trying to gain too much strength for your upper body, your routines will be using lightweights and gradually increasing the weight. For your stomach, you should try doing crunches in large batches. If you cant do 50, slowly get yourself there and as time goes on increase that number everytime it is in your scheduled routine for that day. If you think they are too easy or arent working, do crunches while holding 5-10lb weights on your chest. Yoga is good for stretching and overall fitness so thats good that you have that DVD. Ive never taken yoga so I am not familiar with the exercises completely. To tone your arms I suggest using 2.5-5lb weights and do punching or uppercut like movements in the air. I wish I could show you but I cant. I believe Denise Austin workout videos would be able to help you also. I'm not sure of your body-type/bone structure so I cant tell how easily you can lose weight from your hips and face. Child bearing hips should not be confused for being "fat, love handles, etc". If you have naturally wide hips, just thank god you got em =) . While doing all these exercises you need to maintain an extremely healthy diet and you should rotate your work out routines so you do not exhaust your body, unless you want to be more rigorous with your weightloss. Be sure to eat plenty of carbohydrates from PASTAS so that way you have enough calories to run on the tredmill. Eat moderate amounts of protein from LEAN MEAT. Do not eat meats that the fat was not trimmed from or the skin is still on it. I know its yummy, but not until May. Fruits and vegetables are VERY important. Eat plenty of dark green vegetables like Spinach and Broccoli, fruits like bananas, pears, tomatos, mangos, etc., carrots, peas, and lettuce. Make sure your meal portions are a moderate size and try not to fry anything as the saturated fats in the food will screw up your hard work. Take plenty of vitamins, I particularly suggest B-Complex, Folic Acid, Vitamin E. Those work the best for me and the B-Complex is not an option but a must, they are vital in your metabolism's chemistry. I know this is alot of information but use it wisely to make a proper schedule. Dont freak out if you eat some cheesecake or have a hot dog at the game. Stress will not help your results and will lower your self esteem. Good Luck with your work out and I hope you lose what your goal is. If you lose all that weight before 5 months, you definately worked a rigorous routine.

eat low carb foods.. no sweets, no sugar, no diet drinks at all, no aspertane, no potatoes or keep it to a bare minimum, no or little pasta of any kind, no or next to no rice. Eat green foods, meat, try not and eat fried foods, baked, boiled or grilled would be better. Limit fruits to a minimum if you possibly can but it's important to have a little now and then. eat a low carb cereal or eggs for breakfast with a little milk. reduce juice or water it down a bit with filtered water. eat a low carb yogurt for lunch most days eat a low carb and sensible dinner, no late night snacks, no popcorn, no chips, no snacks when you get home from school or work. limit your bread intake to a minimum stay out of fast food restaurants especially one with arches walk 10,000 steps a day when you can. If you can't do 10k, go for 5,000 steps and work up from there. Working out is good for you but will not lose weight. YMCA may help you a bit and keep you on track physically. Go to a safe gym or not at all. one may safely lose about 2.5 lbs a week according to many sources on the internet. Losing 40 lbs might be a stretch in 3 months. You'll need to stay slightly hungry for a few months straight but you can do it. consult a doctor for advice as well.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Yes it is because I am in the same boat. I am 5 foot even and 180 lbs. I am getting married in November and I want to be a size 8 when I get married. So maybe you can keep in touch and we can try to lose it together. My email is jorgie_porgie2103@hotmail.com. Just let me know how you are doing and I will do the same. Buddies are great to have when losing weight. I want to be able to where a swimsuit this summer w/out a shirt on. So good luck.

I should thing so. You'll need to lose 2 lbs per week on average but that is acheivable. You'll need to eat sensibly and exercise daily to accomplish your goal. I would suggest that you take this opportunity to develop good eating habits and educate yourself on good nutrition. Weight Watchers is a good plan and so is the South Beach diet. You'll probably loose faster with South Beach but studies show that people do better if they have group support and Weight Watchers is great for that.

Yes it is very possible. My mom lost almost 100 pounds between December and May of last year. All you have to do is cut whatever you are eating in half and begin an exercise plan.
