Thats good that they don't try to convert you, and have a family structure suited for everyone. But after church today, my pastor who really is being used by God and is a beautiful person said something really important: "No other religion can make the claim that Christ is the Son of their God, and when someone has good news to share about life, miracles, trials and tribulations-listen. We are not here to tell you that you are wrong, or that You Must convert, but when the spirit bubbles up with Good News of what Christ has done for you, wouldn't you want that for the next person? Why keep it to yourself. Christ-likeness is not akin to selfishness. One must spread the Gospel."

Unfortunately, we do have a few "let's spread the word" fanatics that think their beliefs are the only ones that count. They don't realize that there are many paths to God or your Higher Power. They seem to think they'll get a free ride to heaven if they push their faith on everyone around them even if they have to legislate it. They're also very afraid of anyone who's different from them. But not everyone is like that here. There's quite a few of us here who know how to 'lighten up' and let people be themselves. We're not all afraid of diversity in religion and beliefs here :-)

I think if you ask your self if you had the cure for cancer three in Hawaii would you sit on it and not tell anyone or would you share. Guess it how you look at how important God is to you. Do you feel your God should be in your neighbors life. You don't have to slam it down there throat but telling them its there is what a christian should do I feel.

Can I go to Hawaii? It seems to be most like what I think: "Live and Let Live." Sadly, I'm stuck in the bible belt, which means coming out as a Wiccan is a death sentence. :-( I mean that literally. A death sentence.

We are asked over and over in the Bible to witness for Him.....but that means doing it with unconditional love towards that person I am talking to................as Paul says, "Brush your feet off and keep going"....it never upsets me when someone is offended.
It makes me say that there are Christians who are content just going to church with all Christians and people just like themselves. Have you ever ventured outside into the street people, homeless, drug addicts, etc. Treat yourself to a glorious experience when you see a life changed as they were ready for the Holy Spirit to come into their lives.

Christians are supposed to spread the good news of Jesus, but not in a pushy way. that would make someone not want to become a Christian.

You may not want to come here then. There are many like those you know, but there are some seriously obnoxious ones here, too.

Stereotyping is bad, no matter who does it. Not everybody is obnoxious.
