This is what I used for my children's nanny...you can change it up a bit but good luck!!

The agreement hereafter describes the duration of employment, expected schedule, duties to be undertaken, living arrangements, house rules, salary and other miscellaneous items associated with the employment of _________________________ as a nanny for the _________________________ Family.




EMPLOYMENT TERM

Employment will begin on or about _________________________ for the period of one year, terminating on or about _________________________. We would desire that the nanny remain with us beyond the one-year period subject to the terms of termination described later in the agreement.


_________________________ (Member of Family) will be in the home to train/orient the nanny for _________________________ days/weeks.



PAY/WORK SCHEDULE

This will be a salaried position. The nanny's initial gross salary will be $__________ per week. After the first __________ months of employment, the employer will give the nanny a $ __________ per week raise if the employer has been satisfied with the nanny's performance.


Nanny performance/pay will be reviewed every

Note: Most nannies work Monday-Friday and have their weekends free. Make sure that the hours and pay conform to the minimum wage and labor laws. Pay overtime (time and 1/2) for weekend hours or when you are late getting home. Courtesy dispatches that if you will be late getting home, call and let the nanny know. If you need her to periodically work for the weekend, arrange for this in advance.


Any hours outside of this work schedule will be prearranged if possible. If one or both parents are out of town and the nanny must work extra hours, how will she be compensated?

It is understood that the nanny will not be entitled to any compensation for unused vacation days. When traveling with the employer during their family vacations, the nanny will receive her normal salary and the employers will pay her travel expenses (including but not limited to lodging and meals).

The family will be responsible for any travel expenses that are needed to get the nanny to her place of work, but the nanny is responsible for the travel home.


CAR
The employer will provide a car on weekdays and weekends. The car may be used by the nanny for personal needs as well as for work related duties. The employer agrees to pay for the car's preventative and major maintenance issues, as well as for gasoline used in the course of performing work related duties.


SICK LEAVE

The nanny will receive ________ paid sick days during her first year of employment.

"Sick" means that symptoms show the nanny to be too ill to care for the children. It's is understood that no sick days will be used during the first three months of employment. Sick days cannot be "cashed in" if employment is terminated.


HOUSE RULES
The nanny will not have guest during regular work hours, unless they are other nannies and the children are friends.

What are the limitations on guest visits?

The nanny will not take or make personal phone calls during working hours. She may use the telephone freely during non-working hours. If she is provided with her own line she will pay all costs associated with phone service. If she uses the household phone she will reimburse the family for her long distance phone charges.

The nanny and all adults in the home will dress modestly. The nanny may wear a bathrobe over her pajamas during her off hours, but she must be appropriately dressed before the parents leave each morning.


TAXES
The employer will fully comply with all federal and state tax law requirements. The employer will deduct the appropriate Social Security and other taxes from the nanny's pay. The employer will report the nanny's earnings to the federal government on Form W-2


TERMINATION
The nanny position may be terminated at will, with or without cause, as determined at the employer's sole discretion. If the nanny agreement is terminated without cause, two weeks severance pay will be given to the nanny. No severance pay will be given if the nanny is terminated for cause. If the nanny decides to leave the job, the nanny will provide a minimum of two weeks notice.


MISCELLANEOUS
This agreement may be amended at any time with the mutual consent and signature of both parties. The undersigned agree to all the terms set forth herein. This agreement was reached with the mutual consent of all parties.
