I disagree, whilst i glance around me I see all kinds of attractiveness and data of God's hand in creation. as far as this 6,000 years in the past stuff. Why might you draw close at some some balderdash that some stupid evangelical spouts. i don't comprehend of everywhere interior the bible that states the earth is 6,0000 years previous. The bible would not point out how long all the seven creation days quoted have been in terms of what we now call an afternoon. each of those 'days' might desire to nicely be hundreds of thousands of years. The bible does not something to disprove technological understanding and with the aid of my very own reckoning technological understanding keeps proving to me that God is unquestionably all effective. besides the shown fact that i'm in no way knowledgeable in theology nor am I any sort of world renouned scientist. i'm basically an uneventful man or woman..fairly nicely knowledgeable, over 60 guy who's additionally a Christian.

The answer is not knowable to mortals. As a matter of science, neither figure has been substantiated. As a matter of faith, no mortal bore witness to God doing the creating to testify what the timeframe was in which God did the creating. Therefore, all that is left is to give intellectual assent to conclusions that cannot be proven: it is foolish to wrap our reason around such things, for faith does not work that way. We should not approach matters of faith scientifically and we should not approach matters of science as if they were matters of faith.
The best thing to do is leave it alone and respect human limitations and, more importantly, respect mystery.

God, the Creator, who is great, created the world in 6 days. Thats what the king James Bible reads.
It also tells us 'one day to God is as a thousand years to man.'
To comprehend it is not for you and I to try and do, but to just believe what is written.

In 6 days. But before the earth was spinning, how were days measured? For God a day is a thousand years, and a thousand years is as a day!

6 days is what the Bible says. However, this has been interpreteted as many different things. Some say that back then days were more like years, etc...So there is alot of debate.

"According to the Bible", six days, on the seventh he rested. Whether you believe that's literally six days or symbolic of 6000 (or 6 million) years is a matter of interpretation and opinion and personal beliefs.
